My hollistic dentist told me that any power toothbruth will inevitably cause gum recession. I'm 25 years old and have been using a sonicare for a year and an oral B triumph and 9000 series for 4 years before that and my gum recession is worse than most 35 year olds. I started oil pulling 3 days ago in hopes that it may help.

I'm not sure the sonicare did it, but I'm not ruling anything out.

After researching this myself several years ago, the most widely regarded supplement to help grow back gums seemed to be COQ10. And Ubiquinol is the most absorbable and potent form of COQ10.

It doesn't hurt to try it, the biggest side effect is a much aided boost to your entire cardiovascular system. We're all increasingly deficient in it as we get older.

Use Dr Richard Schulze 's Tooth and Gum formula (you can buy it at his website, HerbDoc.com). Dr Schulze is interviewed in the book, "Curing with Cayenne" and, in it, he talks about growing your gum back with this cayenne-based formula. In the book, he says to mix the formula with water in a waterpik and then use the waterpik to apply the diluted formula to your gums. He suggests you run the waterpik with just water (I think he said for 30 seconds) after use to stop the formula from causing your waterpik to break down. On his website, he says you can also out the formula directly on your toothbrush and he lists other usage suggestions.
