hi,
i am curious.. can muscle and neurological weakness be hormone related (like thyroid, adrenals)? i have been on the thyroid and adrenal forum and treating with supplements and what not but one thing that seems to be different for my case than others is my muscle and neurological weakness that seems to be getting worse. They can also be called tremors, shakiness, etc.
The best way to describe it, my fingers on the left hand, if held in a certain position like making a fist and leaning on something, or typing.. they start to shake with weakness. my legs and quads are extremely weak and trembly and feel like they are about to buck when i walk or give out or something. and my face muscles are weak and cannot hold certain expression for more than 5 seconds until they start twitching and then shaking like crazy. i used to not be able to snarl but now.. it has progressed where if i hold a wink for more than 5 seconds.. my cheeks and nose area starts to shake and tremble uncontrollably. i also have random muscle twitches and tremors, spasms that last for a couple seconds to a couple minutes on a daily basis and i take calcium and magnesium.
is this something that can be hormone related or is it purely neurological and should i see someone about this? i already got an MRI and seen two neurologists and they say that nothings wrong but it is getting worse slowly with time.
