If they haven't lost their self esteem or are in a downward spiral or abuse alcohol or drugs.

(A lot of women get raped due to alcohol or drug use)

So the short answer is no.

What your asking is like saying what is the likelihood of a woman getting shot by a pimp?

Then in the next breath saying saying the women you're talking about are prostitutes.

So we can say, yes, sexually abused people "can" have a higher chance of getting raped.

Simply because abused people can have severe trauma that is difficult to recover from.

Which may lead to alcohol or drug use, which then may present opportunities to be raped.

Or low self esteem which causes them to enter into abusive relationships.

Once again, it really depends on their "outlook" in living.

i believe that traumic events can cycle around like that later in life. i dont think that it is like a victims complex or anything. i just think that abuse has long last effects and people can pick up on that.

You got a lemon, and you can choose to bite on it all your life or to make lemonade.
If you were abused as a child, use this experience as a platform to fight abuse and to help others. Find children that can use your help because you are the only one that understands what they are going through. It will probably be very painful to go through these experiences again and again but it will be rewording. If you hide your pain, it will make you vulnerable, scared and will attract more pain. If you share your pain to help others, it will make you strong, determined and fierce. Rapists pray on week.

I think calculating likelyhoods like that is a little bit premature.

I mean, heck, if it's possible to predispose yourself to rape then who's to say the cause of that is the first one and not some kind of inherant genetic submissiveness?

There's no such thing as a 'get raped' gene, of course, when you speak about chances of getting raped, let's talk about the opposite:

is it possible to be predisposed where you're less likely to be a victim? If you're someone who can defend themself, is aware of your environment, remains lucid, speaks their mind, keeps trustworthy companions who will help them, etc. then yes.

I think that they might. I have been abused by three different people in my 24 years. Rape as a child, molestation in adolescence, then domestic violence as an adult. I went to a therapist for a year until recently (after my husband became violent). My counselor helped me get out of the relationship. She gave me a packet of signs of controlling people. It helps me a lot. I've read it over and over, so I can try to avoid these kinds of people. In the hopes that I will not be a victim EVER again. It would take a while to get the packet online, but I can definitely do that. She told me that abuse is all I've ever known, so I had been terrified of something healthy. I've been trying to open myself up to things and people that I would feel uncomfortable with, but it is a challenge. I'm still struggling.
