Ever since I reclassified NSAIDs to "cheating" on the diet and stuck to just taking muscle relaxants (definitely better for the candida), even cutting back on those, my shoulders have been positively KILLING me... Can't even blame it on sedentary lifestyle & the couch anymore, cause of the last week, I spent 50% on the couch, but the other 50% doing home improvement, hauling heavy-ass crap from stores, peeling wallpaper, painting, etc.
OUCH.
Anyone have any idea what I should do? Aspirin, paracetamol=acetaminophen, naproxen, ibuprofen and metamisole spark off my candida, while ketorolac screws with my liver... Tramadol's out, too, being viciously scheduled in my jurisdiction. And, of course, no doctor around will prescribe pure opiates, unadulterated by NSAIDs, to a 24yo male who claims to have a disease they don't even believe in.- Re: Freaking shoulder/neck pain... yah I have constant neck and shoulder pain really really bad like i want an iv drop of pain meds. I really think my candida toxins store there for some reason. nothing I found helps, I can't take vicodin or anything just makes me sick so all I have is heat packs and muscle rub

Vicodin's a compounded drug, paracetamol+hydrocodone. If it's messing with you, that's probably the paracetamol (utterly useless there, put in to deter abuse through liver damage - let's kill addicts instead of letting them get high off meds, nice going!).
As to what hurts there, I'm starting to think that it's actually clogged-up lymph nodes. Got pretty much the same crap when I had mononucleosis 7 years ago. Also the reason why some people claim that systemic candida is related to Hodgkin's Lymphoma (hell, I hope not!).

This is a reply to # 1,613,280I remember that symptom, and Jhan actually had this a lot at one point also. According to her (and it also jived with my experience), is that it is sign of liver stress. Maybe try some liver support? (fresh lemon juice in a glass of water, Livatone and Livaton Plus supps, taurine, NAC, vitamin C and vitamin E).

This is a reply to # 1,613,851could be, interesting! I just always figured thats where my toxins go. I can do the lemon juice thing, I don't have the other stuff but I do have milk thisle and a detox tea that promotes healthy liver function (burdock root, stinging nettle, cleavers herb, dandelion root, lemon myrtle leaf). is this good enough?

This is a reply to # 1,613,883I have done a few Liver Flushes and I swear by them.
Have a look at the Hulda Clark 's protocol.
Bear in min you MUST NOT eat or drink in between as the protocol says and that you may mix the Epsom Salt with bottled ready grapefruit juice (it helps a great deal with the taste) ... but for the mix of oil you must use freshly squeezed grapefruit juice.
Keep in mind that one should do them 2 weeks apart and that a serie of 3 (4?) flushes is best - until you get a real significant one where you feel the difference.

This is a reply to # 1,613,883The herbs you have sound just fine. I have never been brave enough to flush, because I have read as many bad experiences as good when it comes to flushing, and I havene't trusted that mine would not be a bad one and make things worse. So, I instead used diet, supps and lemon to assist my liver function. And I have doen mini-flushes for stretches at a time which basically involves lemon and olive oil first thing in the morning. You can look up mini-flush to get some options. It works, but it takes a longer time than flushing, and I still have soem more healing to do in this area as it is my biggest issue due to a liver defect I have. Flushing, if successful, would be much faster.

This is a reply to # 1,613,280I have taken care of a similar issue and dug it at the root with potassium supplements! That is after a few visits at the chiro who had advocated daily Sea Salt detox bath (which were also helpful). A detox bath is a real hot bath with Sea Salt = you get in when the bath is half filled and keep adding hot water as much as you can bear.
Most liver support supplements (artichoke, dandelion, milk thistle) contain a high dose of potassium (so does Lugol iodine). But I prefer using the plain mineral now.
As the liver is at stake - eating less and drinking more to help the liver cope is also important.

This is a reply to # 1,613,280I too used to get terrible shoulder pain. I am lucky because my partner would massage the rigid knotty muscles in my shoulders and upper back...the massage was very painful but it would work great for a couple of days.
While I was being massaged I would belch up huge amounts of wind, so much of it, I hardly had space to breathe in between the belches, the wind was almost a constant flow. Not only would my shoulder muscles feel better afterwards but my brain fog would also clear at the same time.

So your shoulders could just be trapped gases. This sometimes happens to people who have had surgery. The air/gas collects in the shoulders. This is a reply to # 1,615,719Its not just intestinal gas/air then ends up in the shoulders. For example, after surgery anywhere on the torso, patients often end up with shoulder pain due to air in the abdominal cavity working its way up.
Its like having trapped wind but higherup. Why it ends up in the muscles in particular I dont know. Are not muscles an absorbant type of tisse stucture?
