Hello,
I'm wondering if anyone can share experiences with the Sota BT 7 Biotuner for help with depression/anxiety/panic. I suffer from Depression and anxiety, for about 5 years. I have been on the medication merry go-round and have had a terrible time with meds. I am super sensitive and don't react well to most medication. I have tried to ditch the meds many times, however my migraines are so bad that I must take something otherwise I have a hard time working. I've noticed from my mood journal that things are worse right before and after my period.
I discovered EFT last October and have been doing it ever since. It has helped with a lot of PTSD memories however, I've developed some panic attacks this year - new! Not sure if they are related to all of this horrible medication. They do seem to co-incide with the days right after my period, as a pattern.
I meditate semi-regularly and also go to therapy. I don't excercise as much as I should, because I'm not motivated enough and tired - or depressed. Although, when I do I feel better.
I use a Zapper a few times a week and have been cleansing my liver with chinese herbs - successfully. I've heard that hormonal imbalance in the liver, and general liver toxicity can make all of the above problems worse.
I have had effectiveness using the don croft terminator zapper for colds, cold sores on my lips, and general wellness.
Any thoughts on whether I should purchase the BioTuner? Can I use it while taking prozac and valium (both very low doses)?
I want to get off these crazy meds and feel good!

Sorry that you are suffering from those panic attacks. My husband started having them at one time, and we didn't know what was happening. Then he had like a month-long headache. Our family doctor sent him to a neurologist that checked him out, and even doing an MRI, which showed no tumor in his brain or anything. He then put him on an antidepressant, can't remember now which one, but it was supposed to help with headaches too.
Well, he stopped it, hated taking it, but he was having serious panic attacks. Shortly after that, we started on Dr. Cabot's Liver Cleansing diet and stopped drinking Diet Cokes completely. Honestly we had never thought about it. But about 3 days later, I think it was, his panic attacks and headaches stopped. We still didn't think anything about the Diet Cokes. But several years later after Bible study, he drank a Diet Coke that a friend gave him. Two or more hours later, he had a panic attack. Now we know it was probably the Nutra Sweet stuff in it that caused his headache and panic attacks.
Also, since we take our magnesium now, he rarely has a headache unless it's sinus. It's ragweed season here where we live. I also am aware that magnesium helps depression.

I took a look at the link you sent re: the magnesium.
I take folic acid and B6 every day and find they help.
I have experience taking magnesium malate or MALIC ACID for withdrawal symptoms from antidepressants and other drugs as some of them make you experience horrible brain zaps, body aches and muscle stiffness. Things worse than probably heroin detox! When I've used it, I've used it at the dosage similar to the one in this formula about 1600mg once or twice a day until the symptoms subsided.
Whoever said there is a correlation between feeling crappy and muscle stiffness is correct. I feel stiff/achey when my mood is bad, although I take medication and a lot of these meds cause this type of pain so it's hard to figure out.
I discovered MALIC ACID is the only thing that would completely resolve these withrdawal symptoms and I've been told it works on your nervous system, thus helping the brain.
I've never tried taking it daily. Do you think that would help with any mood issues as well?

This is a reply to # 1,693,544Well, I'm still trying to figure out how to respond to the posts here. And I've been gone for a while and just now back.
I don't think it's the malic acid alone that does the trick. It would be the magnesium. The magnesium causes our muscles to relax. Calcium causes them to contract, but we still need that too. It's just too much calcium is bad, meaning a calcium excess. And the magnesium controls calcium and keeps it from hurting our hearts, our brains because we don't want calcium in our heart. The heart needs a lot of magnesium. magnesium is a natural calcium blocker.
So if you're withdrawing from something, you'd want the magnesium. The malic acid binds to the magnesium in that type of magnesium to make more energy. Malic acid is what we find in many of our veggies and some fruits.
Some people who are having a heart attack and are taken to the ER, they are immediately put on an IV magnesium sulfate to relax them and help their heart and avoid much of the damage. Same with some people having asthma attacks, etc. Yet it will also help with withdrawal symptoms. Which I have read that magnesium is given for alcohol withdrawal symptoms, seems to me that it would help any kind.
And I don't know if this helps or not. I hope that you don't need more antidepressants and can help your Depression by the magnesium alone. Magnesium does help depression. - Re: Biotuner for depression / anxiet... kittycat77

I ALWAYS take my magnesium every day. That malic acid in the form of mg that I'm taking, binds to the magnesium really well. Malic acid is so beneficial.

MoreThis is a reply to # 1,680,721I also bought the biotuner for my PTSD - severe panic and sleep disorder. Unfortunatey, it did nothing and was a big disappointment.
I do believe the biotuner works, like for minor stress reactions, but I don't think it is powerful enough to help with ongoing panic, especially one that has been going on for several years.
That's great you are doing EFT, but for maximum results I really do believe that a practitioner is much better over doing it yourself. Just my experience talking here..
It does sound like you are trying a lot to get better, and I really believe that you will hit gold..Don't give up!
Two things that helped me enormously were Neurolink NIS
(Neurological Integration System), and the "Be Still and Know" meditation. This meditation is very different from many others, so I would like to encourage you to at least listen to it, and try it, before thinking that they are all the same. Believe me, they are not. There is nothing better for panic attacks than this meditation. At the root of anxiety and Depression is repressed anger and resentment
and a wrong response to pressure. This meditation teaches the foundation of forgiveness and patience for everything, every circumstance, every person, and yourself; how to just observe all negative emotions, and how to speak up at the right time. This will free you.

This is a reply to # 1,680,721I have used the BT7 for several years and own two of them. I rely on mine to help me sleep as I have a severe time sleeping thru the night.
I found the cotton pad - wet - headset to be problematic for me. I replace the headset with snap-on electrodes. I have posted previously on them.
I can then place the pads under my ears behind the lobes. I use settings 3 or 6 . I would say that my Depression level has been moderated and my anxiety put in to check.
I also take MSM on a regular basis. I believe it has had a stabilizing effect on my chemistry. I alos add it to Aloe and use it as lotion. This has an immediate effect on muscle tension. My personal experinece has been that muscle tension greatly effects anxiety and in turn depression.
For me state of mind is critical in moving past Depression and anxitey. The MSM and the BT7 work for me in part because the must - I want to be free of Depression and anxitey so I will be. Find a positive mantra and stay with it - you become what you think about. The more you focus on not getting better - the more you won't get better. The more you focus on moving ahead the sooner you move ahead.
There are conditions that can cause depression and anxitey and MD's can help. But from my experience FOR ME - determination - BT7 stim - and MSM - have worked.- Re: Biotuner for depression / anxiet... dtruthseeker

This is a reply to # 1,688,163Thank you all for your support and messages. I am new to CZ and so I don't think I set it up to email me when anyone responded! I thought there were no responses until today!
I am going to look into the mediations and other suggestions people reported. Thank God I do not drink Soda and am very vigilant about my diet.
I think I am going to buy the biotuner and try it. I've spent THOUSANDS on bigpharm chemicals that did nothing but hurt me. This is worth a try!

Best thing you can do for yourself. Got mine on Ebay for about $265.
