Salut, all. I developed severe chemical sensitivity about a year after all 4 of my wisdom teeth were removed. I already had Chronic-Fatigue-Syndrome & Lyme since age 8, so that could be contributing. I have scarring in my cerebellum, & this is getting a lot worse; all my muscles are affected, esp. breathing, seeing, walking, swallowing; no improvement, only worsening. It's horrible & it never got this bad before wisdom teeth removal. So I contacted a bio-dentist today, & the receptionist told me surgery is a last resort. The first thing she suggested was that I consider ozone instead. Apparently the dentist injects ozone into the cavitation site(s).
Considering the strong link between my increased brain damage & cavitations, do you think I should push to get surgery, or just try the ozone? Please let me know if you've had any success or bad experiences w/ ozone injections, or if you think surgery would be a better option for me.
Also:
**This dentist uses a drill for cavitation surgery ; is this ok, or should I request that he not drill?)
**Can the bone still heal and regenerate if ozone is used instead of surgery?
1 other thing: Please message me personally if you can recommend any other oral surgeons who'd be better. This guy in CT was recommended to me by Dr. Shankland (from Ohio; $2500 per cav. site; I can't afford that).

This is a reply to # 1,682,066If you have a cavitation ozone will kill the anaerobic bacteria and you might get some relief from your symptoms. But this is a quick fix at best and not a permantent solution. The anarobic bacteria will soon come back and with them, your health problems.
I've had cavitation surgery using drills and not using drills. The non drilling method is better from a healing point of view, and also if you are awake during the surgery. Hand tools is a lot less traumatic.
I'm not from the US so can't really recommend anyone there. I've heard good things about Dr Shankland. But if he is too expensive, get a cavitat scan. Take it to a maxillofacial surgeon and tell him to open up those areas of bone and thoroughly clean them out. The last cavitation opperation I had, the problem didn't show on x-ray or the cavitat scan, but I knew it was there because my symptoms had returned and I had previously had cavitation surgery there. The dentist was somewhat reluctant to go in again, but when he did he found the cavitation. It may seem pretty insane to some people to ask a dentist to open up your jaw bone. But if you have problems there it can really save your life.

This is a reply to # 1,684,638I had cavitation process then I asked my holistic dentist to shoot ozone into all the root canal extraction sites, wisdom tooth sites he agreed but, he did not drill the jaw bone. I think he just was not familiar enough with ozone yet to take the jump. Plus I really don't want my dentist to think I have gone crazy because he had already removed all the mercury and extracted all my root canals and done the ozone so there is NO WAY I can ask him to do anymore he will think I need psychiatrist.
My ND told me to go to a dentist next door that will happily drill the jaw bone and inject ozone into the sites for 250.00 which is reasonable price tag.
My ND the last time I saw him easily gave me 20 injections of ozone into my gums and wanted to do more but I had reached my limit that day of pain and trauma. I had a MORA machine test each tooth and that is how we determine where to inject the ozone. Anyway for me twenty shots in the mouth is 19 too many next stop is dentist next door to have my jaw bone drilled. You make a good point the ozone has to go into the jaw bone there is really no other way to be cured I read it takes 6 months to cure bone infections. I don't know if a maxillofacial surgeon would open up the jaw bone for cleaning The best thing that every dentist could ever do is get a Cavitat sonography diagnostic system that would really make my day!

This is a reply to # 2,088,045The one thing I have noticed with ozone it that three times now it has given me a crushing, burning headache with even blurred vision so it seems that after the injection the next day I would be sick for two to three days.
I'm hyper sensitive person so after the final ozone injection into my jaw bone my headached so bad for two days and one night without sleep I was fed up I love the ozonated oil oil with DMSO for infected sites better than ozone injections plus no side effects. I hired an oral surgeon to go in and clean the whole site out and she did the cavitation and took out the bone graft which was infected in my case this was much easier, plus I was on 6 weeks on clindamycin. This is a reply to # 2,111,383My doctor told me to have the dentist lower the amount of ozone. If ozone is causing a headache or burning feeling in your head you are over your threshold. This is a reply to # 2,111,383Ozone shots work for some people, the same way long term antibiotic's seem to work for some people. From my research it seems surgery is the sure way to remove the infection. in my case almost every time I have had ozone my head, feels so weird and I have a headache. Anyhow, I will opt for the surgery I know for a fact that dental inf3ctions, cause you brain to misfire, feels like your losing your mind. I think it is the toxicity levels from the infection effecting brain function. A bone infection is serious

This is a reply to # 1,684,638I have had cavitation surgery myself but i have a feeling from what i've read and asked around that Ozone may not be best for the jaw bone infections for that the pricy HBOT is needed as a non invasive method of healing. This is a reply to # 1,682,066Hi there, you may have already read my earlier posts, but I had cavitation surgery in June of this year and so far, so good. I had also considered using Dr. Briener but the cost per tooth site dissuaded me as his preference to trying other therapies before surgery. I ended up going to Dr. Jerome who is located in Columbus IN b/c even with the cost of a plane ticket, hotel and rental car, it cost less to have the surgery with him. His cost was $300 compared to the $1,500 quote I got from a dentist in PA. I had 4 cav sites so that added up to $1,200 for all 4 plus travel costs equaled about $1,750 total.
I have also come across a couple dentist located south of the border who do the surgery for much less than the US trained dentists. This is a reply to # 2,174,112Fondues(Grace), that is true...i have cavitation surgery by the best dentist in US, his name is dr.Shankland, and there are ONLY 2 best dentist for cavitation surgery in US, the name is dr.Shankland and dr.Margolis, period...dr.Shankland told me ozone injection will make you worse, the only way to clean cavitation is by surgery
