I will try to make this brief...For 3 years now, my hair will begin falling out of my head. It is an even falling out, but it is a lot. This will last for 1 - 2 months and then it will get better. Around 4 - 6 months later it will happen again. Everytime this happens, I test my thyroid, my hormones, my iron, etc, etc, etc. Every time the tests come back okay.
I have been on a vigorous search as to what my issue is. I have been to multiple DR's and they just want to put me on biotin, fish oil, B vitamins and gelatin which I don't think are making that much of a difference. So through my research I am beginning to think this is a candida issue.
My theory is that because my tongue is white in places and because I have had indigestion issues (low stomach acid), that I have a yeast infection in my body that is manifesting as fungus on my scalp and consequently crowding out my hair from it's follicles. I have also been testing my PH and I cannot get my body to be alkaline. I have an alkaline machine and i am drinking PH 14 now for almost 2 months. I am finally no longer in the PH range of 5 but am up to 6's during the day. So it is an improvement. Is it correct that an unbalanced PH can lead to candida? Also, is it correct that if you have candida that you probably have other parasites? I am wondering if my hair falling out is also following a parasite life cycle. I'm not sure, but I've decided to cleanse for parasites during my candida diet. I'm so desperate to go back to having a full head of hair that I'm willing to try anything now.
During my cleanse, I am seeing little round balls, little white things and now some black things in my stool. Is that a parasite?
Also, I know emotions can cause candida, so I've really been working on relaxing, but seriously, could I be living stressed for 3 years? I can't imagine it's all from stress.
I really could use some input. I just want my hair to stop falling out and it's scary that I can't get this cycle to end. Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.

This is a reply to # 1,749,084I have the same exact problem. Mine goes in cycles too, howeve this last cycle seems worse than any other time. It will not end and I'm getting really close to having to get a wig. I have other issues in addition to candida and any one of them could be causing my hair loss. I just wish I knew which one it was. So tired of seeing hair everywhere. During one period of loss years ago, I lost so much hair that I broke my mom's vacuum when she was trying to clean it up. It literally broke the mechanism inside, but entangling everything. This was the quote from the techician who had to fix it.

Does yours really fall out every 4 - 6 months? This is horrible, yet I'm glad to know I'm not the only one.
Do you think it could be from a parasitic infection? I have learned that some parasites can have a 4 - 6 month life cycle and I don't know how to discern if that is my problem, but I think it's odd that its similar to my hair loss cycle. You have checked all the other reasonable issues for hair loss? thyroid, hormones, etc?
I just don't think it's normal for my hair to fall out and I'm not taking "no answer" as an answer. I've resorted to putting my hair up in a clip everyday because I am not wanting to obsess about it. I tend to obsess the more I see it coming out. =)
Also, I woke up this a.m. and wondered if I would balance my PH if that would remove the candida. Do you have any thoughts as to that?

This is a reply to # 1,749,084People have a natural hair loss in the fall of the year, I notice this in September- October. But I have 2 other problems which cause hair loss. The first is chemicals in prepared foods and supplements and the second is gluten sensitivity and especially with Celiac Disease. White plaque on the tongue is another sign you might have Celiac Disease. The only cure at present is to go on a strict gluten free diet.

That's interesting that you say it's from a toxic liver. I'm becoming more convinced that I am toxic too. I started with cleansing my lymphatic/kidney/bladder and bowels along with a parasitic cleanse. When I am finished, I am going to do my liver. I heard it was no good to cleanse your liver if the rest of your body will not be able to keep up with the liver cleanse because it is toxic too. Who knows, but I've got to try something. I have found that I'm having more energy and don't need as much sleep. So that's good.
I'm also contemplating that I may be walking in some self-rejection. I had to move 4 years ago to another state (FL) and I didn't like the results of the move. That's when my hair started falling out. Now I have moved back to my original location and I don't like being back. I want to go back to FL. I wonder if in always rejecting where I am living and what I am doing, it's causing my body to be divisive and reject part of itself.
I'm so desperate, I will look at any and all areas. hahahaha...
Any insights?

This is a reply to # 1,749,311Thanks for responding. I wish my hair only fell out in the fall time. However, the white on tongue being celiac disease is a very interesting comment. It will at least give me another option to look at. My nephew has celiac disease, but no one else in my family has it.
I'm hoping that this is really the result of a parasitic infection mixed with candida. I started a cleanse a week ago, so I hope that this is going to produce some good results for me. I wonder how long I have to wait before I see a difference?- Re: hair falls out every 4 - 6 month... MENDOMAID

I also often had painful sores in my mouth which stopped after I went gluten free. I am doing a parasite cleanse now. As a matter of fact, I have been on it a week now and for the first time, I think I saw something wormlike come out. I also think that some mucoid came out. I am so grossed out. I don't know what that stuff was in my stool, but I have never seen anything like that before.
Here's to hoping that this will resolve my hairloss issues.

This is a reply to # 1,750,673Hair loss and candida may both be signs of heavy metal toxicity. If you have silver fillings (50-60% mercury) or have any reason to suspect exposure to other types of heavy metal, I would consider replacing your fillings (if you have any)and chelating.
Don't chelate unless you've replaced your fillings first. That can be very dangerous.
I recommend doing some research about heavy metal toxicity (and Amalgam illness in particular if you have or have had silver fillings) and make your own judgements.
For the record, I don't have trouble with hair falling out. Mine has been turning grey since my early 30's. Premature greying is another commonly described symptom of mercury toxicity. I began a anti-candida program, replaced my fillings and began chelating. I feel much better now though my hair is still greyish.- Re: hair falls out every 4 - 6 month... janue

I only used the dam once, since I also have trouble with gagging.
So after that I did it several times without the dam.
They were very careful I had the feeling they also put
some powder (charcoal?) in my mouth.
The assistant used the suction tube constantly. And I was

I also opted to have oxygen. It was a while ago and I remember there being a lot of suctioning and I also have a vague memory of a big "vacuum hose" that you mentioned.
But when I had my teeth with crowns removed, I had none of those precautions and there ended up being mercury underneath the crowns. I'm still glad I did it and will just keep de-toxing the metals the best I can.
Having my mercury fillings and root canal tooth and crowns removed are the best thing I ever did; I could feel my body thanking me.

This is a reply to # 1,750,765I have had two bouts of hair loss while chelating for mercury and lead toxicity. My chelation MD is holistic and all supplements are muscle-tested.
First time hair loss lasted 2 months. After doing some research and suspecting low adrenal I added B5. Hair stopped shedding within the week.
Was good for about 6 months and hair loss happened again, this time for 5-6 months. B5 did nothing. Hormone testing showed imbalances but supplements added by MD didn't stop the hair loss. This is a reply to # 1,749,084I have been reading on hairloss and from what I have read it is a problem with hormones. In the book 'It's your Hormones' by Dr. Goeffrey Redmond,( ISBN-10: 0060859695 )an endo expert in NYC says that the problem is estrogen levels dropping causing DHT to rise and then the hair falls out. He suggests using oral contraceptives to increase estrogen levels and to be careful which ones! some increase hair loss! Also he suggests using another medication to drop dht levels.
You have spent so much money on products / cleanses and the like it would be worth it to go see him. I plan on it! I just got the book in the mail and have been reading it. I contacted the office in NYC. They do not accept insurance but give you all correct papers to turn in to ins. One consultation lasts over an hour ($750). He sends you home with lab papers and then all other 'visits' are by phone ($250).

This is a reply to # 1,754,234Yes, you are right, hormones can cause hair loss. I have been tracking my hormones for 7 years now and they are within the range that they always have been since I started watching them. If I am low on anything, it is normally progesterone. However, when I have taken my progesterone, it has not alleviated my hair loss. :( I have checked every part of my body that I know. Thyroid, Adrenals, hormones, hypothalamus, etc. I have narrowed it down to candida because my tongue is white and I have scaly things in my scalp and anal itching. I dont' know what else to think that it is.
Good luck with your appointment. I used to fly to a DR. in Florida for the same thing that you are going to in N.Y. Even though they don't take insurance, I have found them to be extremely valuable. I hope all goes well for you there.

People with hair loss are more likely to have an infestation Demodex folliculorum, while those with a full head of hair are more likely to not have an infestation.
It is thought that most mammals have some Demodex folliculorum

It explains how to make your body totally alkaline in order to kill and reverse the effects ANY disease has on your body.. I swear by it. I've done this several times with amazing results. It's a 10 day cleanse with 4 days of slowly returning your body to a balanced PH.
