Trying to convert the candida yeast instead of killing it is a good idea. Thats Dr. Jeffs idea. I agree on the most part, irritating anti-fungals can aggravate the candida or cause too much irritation/inflammation. Some of the antifungals might cause stronger strains as well. I think mercola states that anti-bacterial soap is causing superbugs/ or microbes to become stronger. Dr. Jeff says that almost all anti-fungals only inhibit it and dont treat the systemic deep rooted fungal candida. Too much focus can be on killing the yeast instead of converting/eradicating the fungus.
What pisses me off is I can go on a perfect diet for 2 months and if i just cheat a little hear and there for 2 weeks it will come back in full force. So something in addition to the diet has to be taken to slowly reduce the number of colonies. It just takes a lot of time and patience because the immune system can only handle mopping up so much of the colonies at a given time. Also it takes time for the erosions in the gut to heal. The erosions that were caused from the rhiziods(roots) of the fungal candida.
Eradicate too much fungus at one time it will cause too much inflammation=too many erosions to heal-- Then we end up losing weight because we have too go on fast to calm the gut down. Too much on our body. There is no quick fix for someone who is trying to heal fungal colonies throughout ther GI Tract. Remember there is 30ft+mass area to work with. More colonies=more healing time. So some people could be cured in 8 months whereas some people it could take 2-3 years depending how severe/ (amount of colonies) their systemic fungal candida is.
We must disturb their slumber. Throw a bucket of cold water on them. I havent seen research on whether they can go dormant or not? Cant friendly bacteria go dormant for 9 months? I just dont understand how a living fungus or bacteria can go dormant for a long period of time when it doesnt have that much food reserves in its system. I can understand the spore form staying dormant.
Some can do fruit some cant. Just depends on what works for the person. The majority on this forum seem to have bad reaction with fruit. My definition of bad reaction is the typical fermentation- feeling like your drunk after eating it. Ive been to other websites and some can do fruit some cant. The low GI diet seems to be the norm for the majority of candida diets. Some fruits are too high on the GI index and can raise your blood sugar too fast. Different strokes for different folks. People just got to listen to their own body and do what they feel is working for them.
Good Point. Some people might not be responding to the anti-fungals because they might have other issues going on. If some of them can get away with eating more fruit or sugar ..maybe they have more of a SIBO issue/ or other issues going on.
