Yes, it will be hard on your good flora as it's pretty unselective in what it kills. But the potency of herbals in general, becomes less as they become more diluted downstream in your system. Maybe start with the double herbal and see how it goes? It's still not clear to me how much good flora you have. I'm thinking those high Lacto numbers are from the probiotics? And I don't think your tests have mentioned Bacteroides yet, have they?
Bacteroides are
Antibiotic resistant, so my guess is that you still have some, but that they are suppressed. Boosting them with dietary fiber might force the freundii and cloacae to give up some real estate, but as in the example of C. Diff, once a pathogenic biofilm gets established, they tend not to give up ground easily.
So you're going to have to do something equal to the task. Maybe scaling your attack to preserve your good flora is the most prudent. To give the herbal route the best chance, I would consider a strategy that includes enzymes like the ones in Klaire Labs Interfase, followed by the herbals, followed by fiber, both to mop up the dead guys and feed the bacteroides that I hope are there.
