NO, no, and NO . That is way too long (running “24/7 for a month”) An Ozone generator putting out 5000 mg/hr for shock treatment conditions should only run for 2 − 6 hours depending on the size of the room (square footage) and the amount of infection (mold or otherwise) . Perhaps 8 hours at the very most. Better to do several shorter 2 hour treatments. Treat the room for 2 hours, air out , then treat the room again for 2 hours, air out.

High ppm, short duration ozone shock treatments also have the added benefit of not having time to fully interaction with foams and carpet padding. You'll kill the organic material without breaking down chemical based solids, except for airborne VOC's and chemicals which will be quickly broken down with shock levels of ozone.”

Also, people should know that simply running an ozone generator will not get rid of mold on a permanent basis. It will kill active mold spores in the air and it will kill mold on the surfaces that the ozone gas can reach , but even if you kill all the mold spores in a contaminated area then you still need to remove the mold-damaged material (like drywall or carpeting or any other materials in the room with mold growing on it). Dead mold spores are still dangerous to breath. Those dead mold spores need to be removed using a true HEPA vacuum or air scrubber. After running the HEPA vaccum and removing any mold-damaged materials in sealed plastic bags , then use the ozone generator to blast-out the room with high levels of ozone to get into all the remaining nooks and crannies of the room to kill any remaining mold spores. But simply running the ozone generator in areas infected with mold won’t do the job on a long term basis. You’ve got to eliminate the source of the mold (the moisture , leaks, lack of circulation) and remove the mold damaged items in the room ; then and only then will an ozone shock treatment be truly effective in killing off any last traces of mold .
