So I got all of my blood results back from the doctor.
Mainly showed that my tissue iron storage levels are extremely low. Also low in Vitamin D. Adrenal low, but functioning. Also low thyroid, but I think it is t4. Not sure, there was so much information that I am confused as to what is what. Really confused on the thyroid thing. But for now wants me on Iron supplements, vitamin c to help absorb iron, D3, B-100, A, b-12, and then recommended HC 10mg, and Armour thyroid.
The vitamins I am not worried about taking, but am nervous about Thyroid supplementation as I know it can be tricky and also nervous about HC as I know that it is also tricky and hard to get off.
He said it is all in the name of trying to reduce inflammation and stop inflammatory signaling.
anyone else with similar issues, taking Armour and HC?

I would think that the HC alone would get your adrenals / cortisol to flow the Thryroid you need?
I'm also really thinking hard about going on HC. I know Isocort is supposed to be good but I want something that I can be more aggressive with. Interesting on the Iron levels, lately I've felt like I'm lacking a little iron myself.
If you trust him I would proceed ahead and be on your way to wellness.

Thank you. I would definitely get your Iron levels checked out. And not just your serum level iron. You need your tissue storage iron ( i believe< ferretin or something) anyways my doc said that anyone he sees that has bad reactions to anti-depressants usually have very low iron, or some sort of nutritional deficiency that contributes to the reaction. Sense I have started taking Iron, and vitamin C at night, I have been able to sleep. (granted I hate to say that so pre-maturely as it has only been the last 3 or 4 nights or so. He says the key is to stop the adrenaline response to inflammation at night. The body naturally goes into an inflammatory state at night to go to sleep, but when you are extremely inflamed then the body sends out adrenaline at night to stop it.
Anyways, will see how I do on just supplements alone and then decide from there.

Just wated to say that I jinxed myself on the good sleep thing. I canged up my vitamin c to a stronger one and I think it caused a stres response that kept me up most of the night:-( I am so dissapointed as I thought things were really improving. I hope when I go back to other vitamin c that is will help. This really is a living hell. Doctor also gave me klonopin as well. Have been reluctant to take it though. I hate to be on klonopin but it will basically kill any anxiety you have. Its a powerful drug and can be very addictive. I'm only taking it now to bridge the gap until the remeron is fully working. Then I'm tapering off; but if you take it, the weight of the world comes off your shoulders. Its crazy stuff BUT in the right hands with a good doctor and someone who won't abuse it can be a life saver. How many does he want you to take? Short term? Long term? It has a much longer half life then Xanax but shorter the Valium. But if you can't sleep...it will help. This is a reply to # 1,935,609That is why he wants me to take it. To turn off my cns. 1/2 t 1mg in a.m. or as needed fr anxiety. Then 1mg at night. The daytime one is optional. He did not say for how long. He did say it has a 12 hour half life though so that it is not addictive. I don't know how much I believe that though as I see a lot of people having a bitch of a time getting off. I do have some valium, maybe I shouldtotoo tot try that, but I thought that was suppose to be extremely addictive. I am so bummed about last night. I don't know if changing the vitamin c is what caused it but doctor is suppose to call me back.Advertisement

I do; last weekend was the first time I ever experienced that. This is why I was given the Remeron.
I've been feeling better since starting it but it will take a little while longer to see full effects.

This is a reply to # 1,935,662I believe just getting my Iron levels up over time would balance the inflammation out. He said it can take up to 2 years with Iron levels as low as mine. Also vitamin D, A. I have low thyroid and adrenals. He has given me natural thyroid, t4 I believe and HC. but I am terribly afraid to take either one. I just feel like I react so sensitively to everything that I don't even know if it is worth the reaction. Remeron is for depression. Anxiety. PTSD. Etc. my adrenal issues all started because of anxiety. So if we get that under control the rest of the body should follow....in theory....
I just called my ND to ask about my iron levels. Want to know why she didnt check that. It's an important one!!!

It is hard to describe the anxiety. I actually don't get full on panic attacks, although I did in the beginning. For me it is more Depression and then the anxiety manifests itself with hyperventilating without even knowing it and a pounding heart. I will wake up just out of the blue and be hyperventilating. When I went to get my blood tests done, it showed that I was in a stress state and hyperventilating and I thought I was feeling pretty good that morning, so I think I am anxious without even knowing it most of the time. I obsess a lot about my symptoms as well. Then the waves of despair, depression, mixed with anxiety. If you get your Iron levels tested make sure they check your ferretin levels. I think that is what it is called, or basically your tissue storage iron I believe, not just your blood serum iron.Advertisement

This is a reply to # 1,935,683You have an over active sympathetic nervous system! You should talk to your doctor about clonodine or a beta blocker. It's like klonopin but will take away the physical symptoms only. If you can manage the anxiety it can help you sleep and will basically shut off stress in your body. I'm going to ask my doctor to add clonodine to remeron and taper off klonopin. Other then that the klonopin will help you a lot. If you need it don't hesitate to take it. I was super anti medication but until you are well it may be an option to calm you down. Klonopin will calm you down big time. What about other antibdepressants?

No, I have bad reactions with anti-depressants, mainly my doctor says because of low iron. So I am not sure what he plans on doing about the depressive episodes, hes says it is just an inflammation response so I guess he figures once that is down the Depression will lessen. He did offer me Guanfancine? For sleep. It is what is in Musinex. I guess it is suppose to stop the adrenaline signaling, but then was worried it may make me too drowsy and reduce my blood pressure too much so just wanted me on Klonopin for sleep. The think that scares me about Klonopin is that I took Xanax when this all started and developed tolerance withdrawl within a week of taking it. My doctor says that shouldn't happen with this as it has a long half life, but I know people have a bitch of a time getting off of it as well. I am not sure if I am trading one problem for another.Advertisement

I think you have pain at neck and shoulder and other part of your body
Mean while you can do massage your body with urine and drink fresh urine through nostrils more and more a time and do it many times in a day
