Hi I have been doing a NB program for 7 months now, I have been reading along here for a few months so I sort of feel like I know a lot of the people in this thread.
I have been having major problems with the limcomin for the last 2 months, it started just after I removed the mercury from my teeth, 2 days after I did that 14 years of constant diarhea stopped in 2 days and I felt great for the next 2 weeks. After that though my hair started falling out, my periods got a lot worse and more infrequent, i started getting really bad anxiety, so bad that now just one limcommin gives me a panic attack, I have become vegetarian because just the smell of meat makes me want to throw up, and I have insonmia. None of these things I had before starting NB.
I should also add that I am in the 4 lows with sodium of 2 and potassium of 1, and a lot of indicators of hidden copper toxicity.
I think what has happened was the mercury was previously supporting my sodium level and now that has been removed my body is storing copper like mad to support it instead.
I asked my practioner if he could come up with a replacement and he told me to go away and figure it out myself and that if i wasn't willing to take limcommin that I should find another practioner.
So my question for you guys is if anyone knows what I could mix with zinc to support my sodium level?
Also does anyone know of a good practioner I could use that can do more than just follow the script? I sent a message to Theresa Vernon a few days ago to see if she could take me on but I haven't heard back so I am not that hopeful on that front.

This is a reply to # 2,034,035Hi Amy79- I too had some problems with the limcomin and the large amount of paramin required while in the 4 lows. Can I ask what else you are taking?
Sometimes during the program it is not unusual to go through periods of emotional instability, anxiety, insomnia, hair loss, headaches etc. Sometimes it is difficult to know what is causing what. Do you take kelp to support your thyroid?
When was the last time you got a hair analysis done? I often felt worse when my body's needs for nutrients changed. Then I would get a retest and discover that I needed totally different supps.
Do you use Sea Salt ? I found this very helpful for raising up the sodium level. In one year I went from 2 - 13 by adding a tspn of Sea Salt to a hot egg drink that I have each morning. Plus I salt all of my food as well.
Meat is really needed to raise zinc and lower copper. It also is needed for the detoxification of other metals. Is there any type of meat you can tolerate? Eggs? I eat about 60gms of protein per day.
Maybe others here will recommend certain practitioners. Maybe Theresa is away for the weekend.

Good that you got the mercury out. I don't think you are retaining more copper. I hade issues with Limcomin.
Plus I had issues with hair loss about 10 months in my thyroid was changing over to hyper thyroid from Hypo.
For the sodium loss, you need to add salt to all your food (sea salt if you can get the Hawaiian Jade Sea Salt that Dr Larry WIlson recommneds worked wonders for me.
Can you give me the symptoms you are having for sodium loss.
Sodium loss I have noticed that I get real high heart rates while standing, Plus dizziness and lots of urination.
You many actually be to low in magnesium, I just upped my dose and I have no issues with my sodium now...just running to the bathrooms lots..Plus lI did dump lots of aluminum so I am sure that helped the sodium loss issues.
I am sorry you had to deal with an ignorant Practitioner. Have you tried to back off the limcomin to see how that effects you?

Today I feel a lot better, its due to getting my period last night so the copper has dropped off as the estrogen has dropped. I had stopped taking the limcommin a week ago but it made no difference until today.
I think I have figured out a little more, my program was woking well for the first 3 months, then i knew it needed changed, but after getting the results back my practioner said just carry on as before. I was told to disreguard the labs recommendations as they were wrong.
But looking back at those results from 4 monhs ago they recommended to drop the limcommin back to 3 a day and add in 2 zinc, I think if I had of done that I wouldn't be in this mess now.
I had a restest done in January which shows that everything went down except copper which is rising. On my first retest I was almost out of 4 lows, all 4 electrolytes went up my calcium was at 39, I think if I had of sent shorter hair to the lab it would have been over the line.
At the moment I am lower in everything than when I started, I am taking taurine, paramin, gb3, limcomin, kelp and renamide. I'll add some zinc in this week and see what happens.
I'll also try the salt, thanks for the recommendations, my sodium needs all the help it can get.
Hopefully the last few months are just a bump in the road as I really feel this program can fix me.

Last thing - is that detoxing copper is nasty business. So sometimes its important to stick with something until you can get through the detox and not panic because you start to feel bad. On the other hand you don't want to stick with a supplement that's harming your body.. its a tough call.

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,034,209HOPE YOU GOT THROUGH OK. i would have changed practitioners. it is very common to have strong reactions to limcomin. often programs need to be tweaked. often when people cannot take limcomin other products at times can be suggested. you do need to be prepared for tough healing reactions at times, so riding through it can help. bad practitioner, i would have emailed Wilson and let him know.
There are many suggestions on his website for issues that arise with copper elimination problems. at times they do suggest either alternative products, or addiction products to ease detox symptoms, or modifying the diet. sounds like you had a tough healing reaction. stopping or slowing the limcomin would be wise in such a situation as well as waiting for the symptoms to subside and then trying slowly again to see if you can mange the symptoms at a slower pace. if it is still intolerable often they will add additional products to help get you through.

Hi Amy,
Many on here have had great luck with Limcomin despite copper problems, so I would not abandon it until your really sure its causing you troubles.
That being said, Limcomin was NOT good for me at all. I suspect it was the copper in it? But I feel much better having stopped it. I have replaced it with Citramins II from Thorne. Again, I have made these switches recently so its hard to say for sure if I can get similar benefits from the CitraminsII. Also, what has worked for me may not work for you, So I would encourage you to tread carefully.
In terms of lowering copper but not lowering sodium - Molybendum is supposedly the key there. Moly raises sodium AND lowers copper. Manganese could be good there too. Citramins has both in it btw.

what was your Na/K ratio? I know that I started feeling bad on limcomin because I was out of the low sodium/pot ratio. I took only one for awhile and added as I could tolerate it.

This is a reply to # 2,034,378Thanks for the replies. My na/k was still a 2 6 weeks ago, i'm not sure if thats the problem as i've been having problems since early december.
The lab recommends that I take both limcommin and zinc so I am going to try that and see if it makes a difference. My practioner had been saying not to take the zinc.
