I just wanted to let y'all know how great Wommie's creams and Iodine (and eating wheat-free) really are.

Over this last summer, hubby's diabetically-neuropathically numb foot got an infection from a nail boring a hole into said foot. He required foot-saving surgery where the doc said, "Let's try to save your foot from amputation."

Doc wanted hubby on "any lotion or cream with vitamin E in it" once hubby's surgical procedure was scabbed over.

The nurses, bless their hearts, used Iodine to cleanse the open wound before dressing it, even past the time the doctor wanted them to use it.

Hubby's a diagnosed type-2 diabetic and almost losing his foot was THE straw that broke the diabetic-eating habits that could've cost him dearly. He is not on a sugar-free diet. However he IS on a wheat-freeone. (Read "Wheat Belly by William Davis M.D.) His Sugar level was consistently over 300 and 'they' wanted him on insulin, even taught him how. (The unopened prescription is still in our fridge.)

Over the two months he was literally confined to the living room, getting the wound cleansed with Iodine while open, and getting Wommie's cream on the scab once it was enclosed. The entire summer also saw the start of him eating no more wheat.

Now, if he caves into a bowl of ice cream that's admittedly too high in sugar, (not all the time), his Sugar level is still consistantly in the normal range; it now never reads any higher than 140...and that's checking it AFTER he eats the ice cream! (Any diabetic knows they have to test their level before eating.)

Once his wound was totally enclosed, he primarily used Wommie's High-odine cream, which has iodine AND vitamin E amongst other lovely ingredients. He used her thicker iodine salve at bedtime with a clean sock.

If you're brave enough to view the "before" shot below please note the surrounding dry skin - especially at the ball, heel, big toe, and ankle. Compare how beautiful and supple the rest of that foot is in comparison in the "after" photo. THAT'S what Wommie's High-odine did for HIM. ***tears***

I want to state here, that the doctor was thoroughly amazed at the speed in which my husband healed - for ANY patient - even IF he were a NONdiabetic!!! He said that the amount of time it usually takes for the healing of a surgical procedure of this magnitude is longer than the two-month time showing hubby's before and after pictures.

THAT is the miracle of iodine. And might I add,
"THANK YOU God!"
