ive been taking ~200-500 mcg of potassium Iodide every few days for the past few years. today i had a saliva test done and it could not detect any Iodine in my saliva. it should be on the order of 20 ppm but the reading was zero. is this accurate indicator of Iodine in my body? i do eat quite a bit of fish and my thyroid function is fine. I picked up some J.Crow's 2% Lugols solution. i placed 1 drop in a glass of water and after getting halfway thru it i noticed tingling in my extremitis..legs mostly. is this supposed to happen? would appreciate advice please- thanksAdvertisement

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,108,382you are taking way too little Iodine to effect much of anything. you could take a thousand times that much iodine, PER DAY.

You are listening to wrong doctors. Do a search on Dr. Brownstein or Dr. Flechas.
Trapper is correct, 500mcg per day is nothing. Not even enough to supply Iodine to a womans ovaries.

I take 50 mg iodoral daily to keep my prostate healthy. Used used to suffer bad prostate problems. This is 1,000 times more Iodine than you are taking, and I fell great.

An allergy would need a protein for the body to react on, so no, not likely.
Automatic reaction; yes and no; when the Iodine hit its rightful receptors, bromide has to leave. It make symptoms, stinks, tingle, is painful etc.
Then take more iodine, and the fluoride will start moving.
All this covered at the forum, how to make this process easier; salt, vit C etc.

I am not selling you anything, on the contrary; if you cant handle a leg tingle, dont continue:)

This is a reply to # 2,108,757Ok i dont doubt you just a bit skeptical. i contracted a parasite in 02 and my digestive system collapsed and i developed food sensitivities and IBS after. today my main symptom is lower GI bloat, constipation and sluggish colon motility...i need Mg daily or i dont go to the bathroom. can Iodine help with this?

This is a reply to # 2,108,883I had a nuclear disaster in my insides from the drinking of drinking Mt Dew everyday by the gallon full for over a decade. If I'm feeling better the more I take (besides your basic detox), then I ain't stopping until my body tells me otherwise.

That is very true, and a lot of people don't understand, care to understand or want to understand that. It wasn't long ago that we didn't have to contend with all these chemicals, and maybe smaller amounts of Iodine would be ok...but that's not the case nowadays. Noooooo sir buddy.
Just the fact that I don't hunch over in pain and agony anymore from testicular cysts, that there is enough to bow to its greatness.
