I have mold toxicity. First off, your house needs to be cleaned by mold/environmental experts. Air tests need to be performed afterwards. These same people, should test for mold throughout your house, not just the place it was found. Anything that has fabric on it, i.e, clothes, drapes, upholstery, even mattresses has to be tested for mold and if possible cleaned. Our mold experts suggested we throw it all away. Hard surfaces should be able to be cleaned. As for you, this is what my naturopath has me on. I take 1 Alpha Lipoic Acid twice a day in the morning and at night. I also take 2 Cholestepure capsules twice a day, morning and night. You can buy these at pureformulas.com. There is a stronger formula that is Rx for the cholestepure, but it causes a lot of digestion issues, which is why I am doing the natural version. Recently they found asbestos in the ducting of our house, so we are adding in glutathione cream, put on the bottom of feet every night. This acts as a chelator and will draw out the toxins, as well as heavy metals. My mycotoxin test results were off the charts. The reason it affected you and not the other people has to probably to do to your immune system. If you have any other health issues or a weakened immune system, this could be the cause. My advice is to find either a doctor specializing in mold ( a bit hard to find), or a really good nautorpath. The naturopath will know how to support your body correctly while you are detoxing the mold. Only negative is that it's out pocket, but you can't put a price tag on your life. Don't eat moldy foods, i.e. dairy cheese, some nuts, old food, etc. Google foods that contain mold. Hope this helps.

It is important to understand that just killing the mold that is present is not enough to resolve the problem. In order to truly get a handle on your situation it is critical that you find the source of the mold. This could very well be a leaky faucet, pipe, etc. Without identifying the source the conditions for mold growth will always be present. A certified mold inspector in your area should have helped identify where the moisture is coming from and possibly suggested a remediation team. Once the problem is fixed, you can begin the cleanup process either yourself or through a contractor.
