Took the plunge this morning with 10 drops of Nascent. Then realized I had just taken some Vitamin C, wondering if that will mess up my first dose?
Tested 71% with Hakala, did Iodine pulsing two years ago, had major awakening regarding world situation, but that's for another post;)
Have been on Kelp for last month, definitely stopped that, was getting twitchy feelings all over, arsenic?
I'm on:
200-400 mg selenium
sea salt (1-3 doses of 1/4 t. in water daily)
Vit A (10,000 mg)
Vit D (5,000 mg)
Vit C (5,000 mg)
Biotin
Magnesium Malate AND
Ionic Minerals
Ionic Magnesium (as extra)
Oil of Oregano
Various Herbs for parasites, liver, kidney and stomach/bowels. Backing off of liver herbs as detox from backed up liver too much.
Taking daily coffee enemas, with water enemas and 2 colonics weekly. Passing loads of parasites still, after months of this.
I'm 44 year old female with history of chronic fatigue (main symptom, exhaustion), fibromyalgia, lyme. Had history of low thyroid also, have gained 25 lbs. last year)
Stick to high raw diet, emphasis on fruit and greens, eat some yogurt, good fats, but really not much appetite lately with liver cleansing. No appetite or desire for meat, and can't eat seafood, too polluted.
Feeling tired with all of this cleansing, but I am determined to get past this rough stage (mainly from liver unleashing into gut that is backed up with parasites).
I have done 5 Liver Flushes over the past year and am gearing up for another next week.
Just got infra red sauna hooked up last night. Desperately need to sweat as can't exercise regularly, too exhausted. Kidneys feeling overworked, hoping sauna may help with lower back pain, etc. When I do exercise, usually rebounder for 20-30 minutes.
Was managing very well until last summer had Amalgam replaced and drilled, (no mask) and all hell broke loose with symptoms again. Have looked into Cutler's way but a little on the fence with him, many not well after several years, etc. I'm looking into Niacin flushing with IFR sauna as another route to chelate, just not too crazy about taking DMSA or DMPS drugs, so want to try other routes first.
I'm interested in adding the SSKI to my nascent. Any thoughts or help is greatly appreciated, and may the force be with you all, this forum has become my library, thank you:)

IMO vit C does not mess up Iodine or anything else, unless you take too much of course.
From your list of doings, I may suggest to slow down; focus on Iodine for a while as it is a big enough challenge for a tired body. I did this mistake myself; tried to cover all bases at once; this really messed up everything!
Too much selenium vs the iodine, I hope you mean mcg not mg:)
Adding SSKI , yes; as the little dose of Iodine in the nacent is hardly enough to cover the daily requirement for the thyroid, not to mention breasts that want 5 mg, daily.
Diet; I was a vegetarian when I became hypo T. 5 years, big mistake; but I believed in it. I suggest some grassfed meat, eggs etc; this will probably get your energy level up. Also read up Weston Price about it; http://www.westonaprice.org/health-topics/abcs-of-nutrition/vegetarianism-and...

This is a reply to # 2,190,807Thanks for your thoughts Ginagirl:) yes, it is mcg not mg on the selenium! And forgot to mention, I'm taking Vit B's and Zinc in the form of ant extract that is like "WOW"!!! Hello zinc-y taste, pretty gnarly but clearly very potent.
I know I am going too fast, it's tough to know where to slow down. I want to focus on the Iodine and my gut issues, but the liver creeps in there because the coffee enemas help so much with the die off and detox on all levels.
I am not planning to hit the suana hard for a few months, just a few minutes here and there to sweat and take a load off the kidneys, but not enough to dehydrate me. The salt water is great for that!
I have noticed you are a fan of Borax, and I am too. I did it for a week, the 1/8 t. in quart of water, sipping throughout the day, and WHAM big time die off. I am thinking of adding it back in, but going way slower and taking a few days to drink that entire quart of water instead of just a single day.
Is this adding too much you think?
I agree with you about the meat, and I know I need neurotransmitters. I am a vegetarian by "desire", no desire for meat most of my life but I know it is needed at times. I have abandoned all dogma, don't want my beliefs to get in the way of my health.

I cant other than share my experience;
-I tried to cover long time candida, gut problems, parasites, adrenal fatigue in one go. It didnt work at all; just messed up the picture. I had to focus on getting my thyroid, body temperature up to par first (iodine, selenium) and adrenals (salt, vit c, herbs) I increased my body temperature one degree celcius in one year; this is vital for the enzyme activity.
second; my looong time digestion / IBS problem. (zinc, vit B, magnesium, sulfur)
The borax kept the candida in check while doing this.
When doing this in steps instead of all at once, your body arent overwhelmed with all the demands you put upon it.
Iodine can help you with issues related to Iodine deficiency; thyroid, hormones etc. It can not however fix like a zinc deficiency (lack of appetite) or iron deficiency (low energy etc) that may be a result of a deficient diet.

This is a reply to # 2,190,821I was lucky to have a mother that did all the cleanses. She was doing them all, following Hulda Clark e advices all the way.
She was withering away, to the point where we thought we were going to loose her,. 40 kilos, couldnt hold on to any food any more, no energy at all. Still believed another cleanse would cure her.
She is the only one I forced Iodine and salt on. She did it the slow, low dosing way, but within a year and a half she was good.
Stopped the cleanses, now she is approx 65 kilos and in good shape.
Not that I dont think a cleanse or two a year isnt good; I do; but there is a timing for everything.
Also, maybe not related to you directly but important; as we seem to defend our diet more than anything (me included:)

I'm glad your momma is doing ok, that is scary indeed to see a loved one wasting away, I'm sure you all learned a lot and grew closer through the challenges.
You're making me think, and I appreciate it!!:) I did have low body temp many years ago at the outset of my CFS, after changing to raw, etc. my body temp raised (I mentioned there was some Iodine therapy in there a few years ago). I am thankfully now perfect body temp, I feel blessed about that, and realize that I should celebrate that fact!
I don't suffer from the cold feeling anymore, cold hands and feet, very very rarely. Am I out of the hypo T zone? Probably not entirely, but I think 90% I am ok there, but you can never can tell.
After the mercury removal last summer, I just felt that pathogens were getting stronger and stronger (lyme, parasites) and I was getting weaker and weaker (gut wise and energy wise).
I know I need iodine, I feel it in my soul, but also the zinc and selenium. Again, your insights about appetite and zinc are exactly the help I needed, so thank you:)
I have only recently started on the ant extract (super zinc) and feel it will be an integral ingredient, not very appetizing, but hopefully it will get my appetite up for some heavier foods. I am not abstaining from meat any longer, just can't get it down every day, maybe once a week or so, it's not my favorite:)

I worked with a raw vegan magazine as an editor for some years. I was never vegan myself. I finally had to quit as I just did not believe in the diet, although I do feel the teachings of Natural Hygiene are good, specifically that the body is self-healing when we give it the proper conditions.
Re your comment happy manatee about seafood being polluted. Actually, wild salmon and sardines are fine. Very low in mercury. And we really need the fats as well as the protein in fish.

Wow, a raw vegan magazine?! Didn't know that existed Jenifer:) I am of the Natural Hygeine crew from way back in the 80's when I first started Fit For Life, which was awesome at the time, I felt so good, health was great. It's actually what I would like to aim for now if I can get there.
Not all raw or vegan diets created equal, I'm sure you know as you were at the mag even though you didn't believe in it 100%.
We have new fangled bio engineered diseases, gmo's and funny stuff coming out of the back of airplanes, so I've amended my once hard core views on natural hygiene.
But most of all, I appreciate your suggestion on the sardines, which I even loved as a kid, and of course, I love wild salmon. Fish is something I have always been drawn to. I'm investigating this copper toxicity thing, could be the cause of my aversion to meat, and my whole sickness in general? Very much to learn there.
p.s. wasn't sure wild salmon was ok anymore after the Fukishima thing?

This is a reply to # 2,190,897True that not all raw/vegan diets are created equal. It did seem to me that they worked better in the short term rather than as a lifetime diet.
I find I am veering toward eating more and more fish and little meat. I did fix a burger for dinner and it was tasty, but I felt stuffed.
Canned wild salmon or sardines in salad is satisfying and yum! A sprinkling of goat cheese and herbs along with oil and vinegar doesn't hurt a bit. :)

- this was one of the reasons I became a vegetarian; I did not seem to digest meat well at all. Felt stuffed, heavy,.
I jumped to the conclution that meat was not my "thing". The first two years of vegetarianism was great, from then on it went downwards. Health, digestion, everything.
Later I found out that it was the digestion of proteins etc that was the problem. Enzymes helped, but I was not good until enough zinc, iodine, magnesium, vit B, sulfur etc.
Now I can digest a steak without problems, without being stuffed or feeling heavy. And almost everything else I eat.
But the best meal I had lately, protein/zinc wise; was raw oysters. It was energetic, still felt satied. Same with raw egg yolks in my smoothies.
Yes, there are different ways of doing it, in general I would suggest to change the diet from what caused your health to deteriorate.

This is a reply to # 2,191,009I only eat meat now when I crave it. However, one must realize that meat and starches do not mix - at least for many people with bad digestive issues.
Having the occasional burger is fine, just don't eat the bun, too; use a leaf of lettuce (like romaine) as your wrap.
Having a small steak is fine, but don't eat a potato with it, or that dinner roll.
At least, that's what I discovered.

Lifesaver for me.
Now; I can have the bun or potatoes with the burger or steak:)
One thing I still cannot have too much of, is grains mixed with milk, fruit. Like a fruit muesli with milk or kefir. Healthy?; not for the ones with a sensitive digestion.
Rule was; proteins with veggies but not starch. Fruits never combined with anything; only in the morning on itself before 12 or two hours after other food.
This way I managed to keep my IBS under control; 10 years before Iodine etc.

Actually I think I felt stuffed because I've been eating much less in general and it was more food than usual, complete with potatoes slathered in butter. And sourdough bread for my 'bun.' Yum! :) My digestion is OK.
Raw oysters, hmm, will have to try! btw, I've heard it's best to have raw eggs whole.

And free-range and organic are the best! I've eaten the cheaper ones, but only when I "had" to have one and couldn't have organic.
There was a chemical taste - yuck.

omygosh, I am happy you mentioned this because I am type O+ and my mother deeply believes in the Blood Type Diet . To her dismay, I could not digest red meat, as O's are supposed to eat like cave men, and she nudges me toward this diet often.
But the copper toxicity thing really explains my demise very well, now have to figure out if I'm on the right track for that. More Liver Flushing is what I am going for, not feeling depleted as I am always tired, sick or cleansing, and I actually feel better now than 4 months ago when I was at my lowest. So, what do I have to lose?
One other thing, low fat vegan diet, explains why I got worse over time, initially waaaaay better, but if copper toxic, averse to meat, liver not ever flowing as eating no/low fat AND vegan (high copper foods), recipe for disaster for somebody with this mysterious copper storing phenomenon. Very interesting indeed.

If you read the diet guidelines carefully it is mostly vegetarian, with moderate to small quantities of meat.
People who are starting to eat meat after a long hiatus need to ease in with smaller quantities, perhaps take enzymes as well. Your HCL acid levels will come up by following other aspects of the diet as well, and using appropriate spices or cooking methods, i.e. rare vs. slow cooked.
There is a lot more to this than just eating meat.
Being strict with avoids can be very dramatic and I have seen this happen countless times. There is nothing that prevents doing Iodine supplementation in addition to the diets as well.
Since his first book there have been advances like the genotype diet and something called SWAMI which takes in more individual data points to customize the diet very finely to an individual.
Sometimes when a person does not feel well eating a food that is supposedly good for them it can be because it is bringing certain other issues to light.
Does that sound familiar at all??
hint hint: Iodine also does.
I have seen people recover from heavy metals too with the Blood Type Diet .

Question: is rare, grass fed beef good for O+? The only issue it ever brought to light was that is sits in my gut for over 24 hours fermenting, causing pain, gas, flatulence and bloating. But after years on a high fruit diet, I can't digest even Watermelon properly anymore, so I don't have the answer except one conclusion I personally have drawn: diet is important, it is not everything.
Toxins, stress, air, sleep, water, emotions, happiness, exercise, relationships, etc. can bless or destroy an otherwise good diet/health.
I'm happy a lot of people get helped with the Blood Type Diet , maybe it goes over my head as I don't see the mechanism of how it works, but I do see the mechanism behind a primarily fruitarian based diet (ie human anatomy and physiology).
We're not in Kansas anymore though, nature has been hijacked and the food will not do what it once did for our health, must employ other strategies. Thanks for your insights:)
