I don't know if you are one of those people who can not smell themselves. I guess you are, cause you found the previous message offensive ? Is that true?


If you can not smell yourself,
there are only 2 possibilities, nothing else:



#1. You do smell bad but your sense of smell is not working, so you are unable to smell your own bad odor.


#2. You do NOT smell, and your sense of smell is working as it should, but as you do not smell bad, you can not smell your own bad odor.

One more possibility:

#3 You do smell from your moth / throat / lungs, but your own sense of smell is blinded by air passing all the time, so you can not smell your own bad breath. Common for people with bad breath

Sorry, no other possibility.


If you are #1, your problem is in your head, cause our sense of smell is in our head, nose being a part of it. :-)


If you are #2, your problem is in your head, cause it is your brain playing games with you.


If you are #3, your problem is in your head, cause our mouth and our nose are in our head.


If you are any combination of #1,#2,#3, the problem is still in your head.

Whatever option you chose, the problem is still in your head, don't you get it :-)

Anyway, normal people can smell themselves.

People can smell their own sweat, people can smell malodorous feet.


If you wear a t-shirt for a long time, and you sweat, and you take that t-shirt off, you take a shower, you should be able to smell your own sweat on that t-shirt. If you are unable, you do have problems with a sense of smell or there is some perfume blinding your sense of smell.


It is more difficult to smell your own breath, cause you keep breathing through your nose, blinding your sense of smell, and for the breath you need help from others.



But, you should always be able to smell your own clothes and your own shoes, especially if you wear them long enough, and if you do not wear any perfumes, and you do not wash your clothes with anything with perfumes.

If you do use perfumes, you can blind your own sense of smell with perfumes, making it difficult for you to smell
natural odors.

I think you got offended by Ceasly's message for no reason.


Ceasly's message is directed toward people who can not smell any bad smell.

You definitively are not one of them.
In your previous message, you wrote:

"I can actually smell the odor on my person. I have different odors ranging from ammonia (the most predominate) to garbage to fish odor."

So, why do you get offended by Ceasly's message, when she clearly wrote she can not smell her own bad smell ?

Also if you read my previous posts I was always on here asking if something someone did was a reaction or asking what reactions people get. If you have to ask you dont smell. If you smelled you would already know what reactions you would get.

I'm sorry i didn't know where to post this when i visited this forum weekly to read others posts, i only made an account so i could share my experience

I just wanna add that there's a good possibly that people who have b.o. can't smell each other. Me and affliction met in real life, and I swear to god she didn't smell... AT ALL. And she said the same to me. I have no reason to lie to her, if she smelled I would tell her, so I trust that she wasn't lying to me either. The fact remains that she just couldn't smell me. Maybe your family members can't smell you just because they most likely have the same Body Odor and are immune to the smell themselves. I'm not saying your parents smell, but I'm saying they're probably immune to the smell.

You are right,

large number of medical professionals (not all) are completely ignorant about:

- candidiasis
- gut dysbiosis
- congested liver
- bad breath
- extreme Body Odor





The question is, are you going to stay completely ignorant about similar health problems, or are you going to learn how to help yourself, and care less what doctors are ignorant of?

I think you're right. Many doctors lie but not all. You should go by the reactions of strangers. They don't have anything invested in you.

If you get reactions from other people then go by that but if you're looking at little things like someone looked at you, or something like that then you dont smell.

I was looking at little things. Things that wouldn't make me think I smell if I didn't already believe it. There were hundreds of reactions that showed me I didn't smell. Strangers hugging me, asking to borrow my clothes, standing close enough to me in lines that their clothes were rubbing up against me, strangers sitting in cars with me with the windows rolled up, resting their head on me, sitting next to me, with no reactions but it didn't matter to me because that one person loooked at me, or stood farther away from me in line then I thought was right.

I struggled for 8 yrs with it. I still do struggle. Delusions are strong. You believe them despite the evidence. The only thing that works for me is medicine. I can't think my way out of it.That's how you know it's a delusion. All the evidence in the world wouldn't stop you from believing it.
