So I have been battling candida, unsuccessfully, for a year now. But thats not why i'm posting.
I took Ella (morning after pill) back in October. It was a bad decision, but I dont want a pregnancy right now. Since then, I have had growing pain in my sides to an unbearable to degree that I have come to regard as ovarian cysts. My concern is that they are not going away. They just seem to get bigger and worse. They stay after bleeding, ovulation, etc..
I read that Ella can cause cysts like this, and I think its worse because candida gives me estrogen dominance.
I am probably going to have surgery to drain them but I am worried that they will come back. My doctor recommended birth control to prevent ovulation (thus preventing cyst formation) but I have read that candida patients SHOULD NOT take birth control. What do you think?
I have also read that progesterone can be taken to reduce cysts. I have no experience with this. Help?
TLDR : Should a Candida patient go on birth control?
edit - the two natural methods to reduce cysts that ive read about are progesterone and iodine. Can someone please elaborate on your experience with either of these? I'm just worried about putting random things into my body. I think I am going to buy a progesterone cream tomorrow...
