6 months ago I suffered a Severe Traumatic Brain Injury, had a 70% chance of death. Spent 2 weeks in the ICU. I am home, and able to walk, go to PT/OT.
I just still have this Brain Fog. I feel tired still. My moods are just different at times. I need some advice on what to get/start to help me. I read a lot of posts on here, but it's hard to follow. It's overloading.
If someone could help me I would really appreciate it. I would like to cleanse my body also. I just need simple tips on what to get, I have tried to follow along with info on here, I just can't seem to.
I am currently on:
-Amitriptyline 100mg once a day
-Escitalopram 10 mg , once in the morning
-Keppra 500 mg-Once a day
-Lamotrigine 200 mg Twice a day
Those are the medications I currently take. Due to being at risk for seizures, I need the seizure medications. The Lexapro, and Elavil have helped me, I still feel down.

This is a reply to # 2,238,699Brain thrives on fats to heal, so increase you fat intake, using fish oil, coconut oil and butter.
There are many stories you can find online about people healing their brain injuries through high intake of fats.
Tbe brain needs fats to function, and even moreso to heal.

MoreThis is a reply to # 2,238,755I agree totally about the fats. Coconut oil and Omega 3 in fish oils is very beneficial. Saturated fats are important to the brain and nervous system.
Optimizing methylation so it is working as well as possible might also help. Rosemary herb has some beneficial properties to the nervous system and encouraging healing. Methylcobalamin B12 in high doses such as tens of mg might help and would also help methylation.
The tiredness and brain fog is a concern, many people suffer from it and I hope that you have not become similarly affected. The cause could be different, hopefully it is.

This is a reply to # 2,238,762The tiredness and Brain fog, is just to be expected after this injury. The midline of my brain actually shifted, I had 3 different brain bleeds, and a closed skull fracture.
I take fish oil's everyday. I'll get organic coconut oil. I'll look into Rosemary Herb, and Methylcobalamin B12.
Is there a all around good body cleanse I can do? Something that is simple? I just feel like I have so much stuff built up in my body from these past 6 months. I need something simple.

This is a reply to # 2,238,699I just happen to see your post. Look up Neurotrophin PMG, Hypothalmex and Hypothalamus PMG. I look at reviews on Amazon to see what others are saying about products. Some have used these for brain injury.
