I am on day 12 of an extended fast for health. I am still hungry. I really didn't expect this. I fasted before and hunger stopped on day 3. This time the hunger on day 4 was so intense I began to think I couldn't do this, but I just kept reminding myself of my goals and got through it. The hunger now is more manageable but still uncomfortable.

I guess I am looking more for encouragement than advice that this is normal. My present thoughts are:

1. It's Candida or other toxic things clamoring for refeeding.
2. It's an indication of just how toxic I am.
3. It's just the way this fast is going to be. Since every fast is different, this one is going to be miserable.

Also, about day 7 the entire household (including me) developed cold/flu/allergy symptoms: stuffiness, cough, sore throat. Due to this, I am weaker, more easily tired, and sleeping more than usual.
