Unfortunately the Image Gallery is mostly worthless. There are never any descriptions, identifications, links to possible taxonomy of the creatures, and when you can actually figure out a link to the user's original text post by manually searching thru their post history, all it ever turns up is "Can anyone identify this thing? or a "Me too.... what is it?" post.

In essence all the gallery is.... in basically just a collection of gross photos with no associated useful data and that's all. Unless I'm missing out on some secret library full of scientific data that's hidden behind the terribly user-unfriendly user interface.
