Oh yeah...having a raw restaurant or a raw health food store near you is huge! Makes such a difference when you just want to grab something - I just love that part of it. Yesterday I didn't feel like making dinner and I stopped at the raw restaurant and picked up chili (a bunch of chopped up veggies and nut burgers) and flax seed crackers, and some incredible pate that I couldn't stop eating - not sure of the ingredients but I think the first 2 were carrots and maybe apples, and there was chili powder in it. It was amazing! And they sell the most luscious raw olives there.
I have a juicer (hardly ever use it) a blender (use a lot) a dehydrator (don't use because it's crappy) a food processor (use at least once daily) and a spirooli - it cuts vegs into skinny spirals - what I do with that is cut zucchini or yellow squash into strands like pasta, and then eat it with marinara sauce - SO GOOD!!
I actually have never made one darn thing from the cookbook yet! I do really want a nice Excalibur dehydrator, and then I plan on making some burgers and crackers...mmm!
What about you - have you made any good recipes? Like I said in another thread, I really do find that the easier it is, the better. Some raw guru, can't remember which, has a 5/5/5 rule - his meals have to have less than 5 ingredients, cost less than 5 dollars, and take less than 5 minutes to make. Sounds good to me!
