Aloe vera juice anyone?

I would like to know who has tried this to help clean out their system, and if so what were your results? I did some reading up on this and bought some juice last night at whole foods. But then I did some more reading today and found a discussion about this saying that manufactured juice is worthless and that you have to actually drink it fresh from the plant to get any benefit from it. It can't ever be an easy solution can it?! Anyways, I would still love to hear some of your experiences with this. Thanks!!

MoreThis is a reply to # 294,609I've been using aloe juice in my P & B shakes, and do feel that my intestinal lining is healing faster as a result. I have read others' posts that have not had as positive an experience. I use an aloe juice by 'lily of the desert' that claims not to have any additives or preservatives . Since I can't do a spectrum analysis on it, I will have to take their word for it. They do make one that does contain a preservative, but I have never tried that one. I have some of their gel that has that in it, but I use that in skin products I blend.

This is a reply to # 294,618ok thanks for that info. I bought georges "always active" aloe. it says 100 percent aloe vera - fractionally distilled liquid from aloe vera leaves. no preservatives or additives and it is anthraquinone free (so i guess it won't give me the runs!!!)

This is a reply to # 294,632Not only is aloe vera juice fantastic for the intestinal lining, but also for the colon, via enemas. Put a spoonful of aloe vera juice in water and use for the enema. It works wonder.

Does it have to be fresh from a plant or can it be store bought? I drank about two ounces straight last night for the first time (store bought with no additives or preservatives or anthraquinone in it) and I am going to continue at two ounces for the first week - then up it to 4 ounces daily as long as everything is going well. thanks.- Re: Aloe vera juice in enemas too! This is a reply to # 294,668I used both fresh and store bought and they both did the trick.
I only used the fresh stuff because here in Taiwan, it is very difficult to get this product on the shelves. But then again, it was MUCH cheaper, and fresh is always better. I am just lazy! I guess. I would never have bothered if it had been on the shelf.
