Hi there, after stumbling across this website and being amazed how many people have neurological problems ? due to hep B vaccinations, i just had to post a letter on behalf of our team at work.
There are four mambers of staff within the same group of hospitals theatre department with neurological problems/MS. I started having problems after my course of hep b vaccinations a while ago but put it down to the vaccination itself upsetting my system. I had sick feeling /weakness/fatigue but thiws generally left after a day or two. Last year i had to have a Hep-vac 2 as i had had no immunity to the other courses that i had recieved 6 injections over a 12 month period. My teter level was stilll 84 so occi-health suggested that i have the hep-vax 2. Immediatley after recieving this i had a really bad flu and chest infection which lasted for 3 weeks. this returned about a month later. I just thought i had been doing too many hours. After the second injection a month later i started to have problems with my vision. Blurred vision /double vision/runny and painfull left eye. Then i had a month off work with fatigue/treomr/generally feeling unwell. Went back to work but couldnt stand to do my job properly and had to work behind a desk. I then got weaker and weaker pains in my face,arms.legs. unbalanced,dizzyness.I collapsed at work and was admitted a ct scan was done and i had to see a neurologist. I have had a MRI and i am waiting to see him again but he is so vague about the problems. Another nurse in the same department had the same problems as me and now there is two more. Could this be a virus? As there are four members of staff with the same problems? We are all women and vary in age. Has anyone else had these problems as it seems a bit strange that four of us have the same problems?
I am now unable to walk unaided and have touse a wheelchair to shop or walk any distance. I am not even 40 yet! Is there anyone who has the same problem and is ther any treatment if this is vaccine damage?
Finally how do you go about proving that the vaccine did the damage as the neurologists wont even commit to a diagnosis?
I would be very gratefull to hear from anyone else in this situation and please bear in mind that we are in England!

MoreThis is a reply to # 368,661Hi, Im sueb and hope you read my history on the forum. Sorry to hear about you and your colleagues. I have very similar symptoms but not as severe at you. I dont want to go back to my doctor really because I feel a hypocondriac note going on my notes. I reckon they will say there would not be side effects or very little. I thought about talking to occupational therapy about this, although ironically I no longer work at the hospital (uk also). I want to prove this is the cause of my problems, a kind of tying up loose ends. Have you thought about homeopathy, thats what I am doing at the moment and very slowely I think I am improving. Please, please get back to me, its good to talk to someone who knows what its like and not to feel its only me.

thanks for your reply. Yes i have read your other messages on the forum. Sorry to hear that you are suffering too. Do you know anyone else with the same problems in the UK? I am sure we are not the only ones in the UK with the same problems.
I have posted this message because i don't know how to go about sorting out this problem! When one of us went down with it we didnt think anything of it but when four of us have the same symptoms then we started to get a little worried! Myself and another member of staff seem to have worse problems but the other people have gone back to work ( after 12 months),
I am going to see my GP tonight to see if i have to go for a second opinion with another neurologist as she is not happy with the one i have got as he is not forthcomming with any information.
This seems to be the common thing with all of us.
My balance is the worst problem and my mobility. It kills me not to be able to go shopping without being in a wheelchair.Then of course there is the problems with the old bladder etc. I also do a very good impression of lady parker from the thunderbirds with the way that i have to walk. I feel like a puppet on a string! This time last year i was as fit as a fiddle and working 40 hours plus a week. I wish i could find some answers for all of us.
I was hoping to go back to work in a wheelchair and do desk duties and paperwork but my boss seems to think otherwise.
I hope that we can get information on what to do and who to contact about this problem soon.

Thanks for replying so quickly. To answer your question, no, unfortunately I haven't heard of anyone else with similar problems in the UK. Although when I see my homeopath I will ask her how many cases she has found.
I do hope your doctors visit is positive, If it is not too personal or upsetting I would be very pleased to hear from you again, just want to get to the bottom of it and get proof. If it definitely is the hep B vac causing all these problems, it has to be stopped because it is making a mess of our lives.

yes GP visitwas positive as she is reffering me to another neurologist as mine at present doesn't seem to want to give a diagnosis or any treatment. I wouldn't mind if i was getting better but ia am not and i just want my life back!

I had 4 injections within a period of about 5 months (an advanced course) and soon after developed fatigue, numbness, concentration problems and dizziness. My G.P. told me there was a virus going round at the time and several other people had it. I couldn't complete the social work course I had started and it wasn't until about 18 months later that a herbalist 'diagnosed' me with post-viral fatigue and put me on some herbs and an anti-candida diet which helped a lot. I've since been diagnosed with M.E.
My story is in an earlier message on this page (username Boronia). My health has been up and down since then and I really don't know if it was a virus or if it was a reaction to the virus OR the theomersal (sp?), a mercury derivative in the vaccine. A hair analysis I had 3 years ago revealed mercury at toxic levels (I had my 4 fillings removed 5 years but done no chelation).
You can make a claim within 3 years of the vaccination, so too late for me, but not for you and your colleagues, though I don't know how easy it would be in a court to prove the vaccination caused your illness. I do know that a certain percentage of people with M.E. and M.S. believe their illnesses were triggered by the Hep B vaccine.
Homeopathy might help as the other post said and you might have to consider some form of detoxification and liver support. Ask at the 'Ask Shelley' and 'Ask Andreas' forums. Some people say footpads help a lot with toxins.

This is a reply to # 368,661I just ran into an old neighbor of mine who moved to a building a couple of blocks away. She used to be a nurse, and when I saw her I was shocked. She had an aide and was in a wheel chair...She told me that at work they gave her a HEPATITIS B injection 2 1/2 years ago, and soon after she developed nerve pain and paralysis and has been in a wheel chair ever since. Since she doesnt own a computer. I told her I would try to find other people with similar adverse reactions. I wanted to find out if there was a CLASS ACTION SUIT going on in the U.S. due to adverse reactions. It seems that side effects are rare and outweigh the benefits of the injection. I didnt get to ask her too many questions, and probably need to go back to her and find out more info. I have no idea about her health prior to the injection, but I remember her as an active nurse, around 50+ and now she looks about 60 and is in a wheel chair.
Any ideas about what she should do??? Is this something that she can sue the drug company for?- Re: Four staff looking for answers f... Jayne SODP

so sorry to hear about your friend. There seems to be many of us that are in the same boat unfortunately. I was in nursing and have now had to give up due to this injection.
I am in the UK and there is a Hep B vaccination support group over here that are gathering information etc but nobody is going to take the cases on at the moment. Im not sure in the USA maybe someone will read this and contact you to see if they can help you as your legal system is far in front of ours over here. I was in a wheelchair two years ago but i am now better but i have to walk with a stick and cant walk very far. Ive lost my balance amongst other things :o( so i know where you are coming from on this.
GOod luck to your friend and i hope she can get some treatment/physio that will help her recover. Please tell her to try and get some physio it does help in the long run i thought i wouldnt be able to get out of my wheelchair but i am now even though i have to use a stick to get around. There is hope and i hope she gets better soon.

Thank you so much for your reply. I will definitely tell my neighbor about the physio...not sure what she has been doing, if anything. Being a former nurse, I hope she realizes what she needs to do to help her situation.
Maybe someone from the US will contact me, as you said, and then we may be able to find out more info together.
I hope your health continues to improve and hopefully one day soon you will be able to move around without the stick.

This is a reply to # 368,661Google "vaccine induced ASIA". Adjuvants have a tendency to cause autoimmune disease sometimes...adjuvants are meant to be inflammatory, to help you react to the vaccine.... but if you already have a problem with inflammation, or a poor diet, low anti-oxidant status etc, then the inflammation induced by the adjuvants can be overwhelming....this is my understanding of it anyhow....
