Hi everyone,
I just came back from Tijuana where Dr. Morales replaced 5 Amalgam fillings. And unfortunately I'm feeling bad. I'm sick for the first time in years. (I haven't even had a cold in ages.)
The work was done Tuesday. Starting Friday, I began feeling symptoms similar to flu: extreme exhaustion, chest discomfort, sneezing and coughing, sore throat.
Since I haven't been sick in so very long, it seems unlikely that it's just coincidence that I got sick right after having my Amalgams removed. What is your experience? Have others had these symptoms, even when the work is done according to the proper protocol, as is certainly the case with Dr. Morales?
And what can I do about it?

But, for the benefit of the readers, i'll reply.yes, the symptoms can b common. if u caught a cold, it would b the lowered immune system. but that's ok, because colds boost the immune system, so it's actually a good thing. if it is not a cold, yes, the mercury can make u feel run down like that sometimes. mercury is very poisonous and volatile. dr morales uses the best protocols, tho, so there is nothing he could have done better. the best thing u can do is to chelate, as much as u can tolerate. the info is on my site on the price list and chelation page.
the diamondcrown material is top of the line in biologic dentistry. i have never seen anyone have any problems w/ it. in fact, if they do, there is not anything else that can b used except ZO (Zinc Oxide), which is a temporary filling and should b replaced every 6 months.

This is a reply to # 36,991The same thing happened to me. I got really sick after having my almalgams removed. I figured either i was detoxing or the mercury temp lowered my immune system. I haven't had a cold in yrs even when i was kissing my sick boyfriend who had a fever i did't get sick. That was a month ago. The day after my almalgams were out i got sick. It's worth it and i will b healthier in the long run

This is a reply to # 36,983Hi Bruce, sorry you're feeling bad. When I got my fillings out I went through some detoxing too. Here's what helped me. When I would start to feeling really punk I would take a bath with two cups of Epsom Salts and a cup of baking soda. Then I would sleep like a baby and wake up feeling on top of the world. It really makes a huge difference and I urge you to give it a try. At first you might have to do them every other day, seems like the effects last about two days. But they really do make you feel SOOOO much better, it's hard to believe it till you've tried it. Epsom Salts is magnesium sulfate and it's absorbed best through the skin. Of all the things I tried for detoxing it was the one thing that worked each time, every time.
At least you have to worry that there's a major problem. Aren't you glad you chose Dr M!

Thanks for the suggestion! I posted that distress call a week ago, and am feeling much better now. Still waiting to discover if the mercury removal has helped my enlarged prostate condition.
Yes, I am delighted that I chose Dr. Morales. And so grateful to you and a few others who took the time to talk with me and educate me about the man and his work. Your down-to-earth voice on the phone was most reassuring as I contemplated a very important decision.

Unfortunately it does take a while to get rid of the accumulated mercury and sometimes trying to rush the process makes a body feel worse. I'm just thankful I did it BEFORE I suffered from serious health problems. I don't know anything about prostate problems but keep researching on curezone and you'll find answers. After reading his/her explanation of Epsom Salts plus baking soda bath to defray detox symptoms, I found this info VERY helpful and am looking for all the help I can get as I am about to undergo 8 Amalgam replacements with the white stuff. Because I have not been to a dentist in 10 yrs and have mercury poisoning (aspergers) I want to get this crap out of my life quickly but have to wait until the end of the month after I get back from a trip because the dentist explained to me that going on a trip 3 days after my dental work would ruin the trip (its a tennis camp!).
I wanted to thank happydog for their helpful suggestion and plan to use it extensively during detox. But when I went to reply to happydog, they have blocked all replies to themselves!- Re: What to do - Aharleygyrl

Good luck with your Amalgam removal. I have a daughter with aspergers :) I hope getting your mercury out helps with your symptoms.
You can get more info on the bath support forum. Another good one is the ginger "sweat bath." Some days I felt too tired and dragged out to exercise so sweating in a bath was a good alternative.

My son has aspergers ( mercury poisoning) and he has NO fillings!So he must have got it via vaccines. He is 26. I will at some point encourage (and probably pay for) him to go on a detox program. He had a horrendous personality that got him into all sorts of trouble prior to me treating him with homeopathic Merc. Sol 30c, 200c then 1M. So that helped sort out the personality problems quite a bit. I took the same stuff, and it helped me quite a bit, also. Now both of us are quite a bit less overt.
My doberman got autism (aspergers) after she had her vaccine shot, also. Vaccines for humans and animals contain Thimoseral, another name for mercury. WHY do they call it that? So no one knows that mercury is STILL in vaccines! So I treated my dog also for autism, mercury poisoning, and she now is a lot better, but because the elemental cause is still in her tissues, she still is somewhat stubborn, irritable and blank at times. So every time she gets a shot, I will have to detox her! The vet clerks act like they have no idea what I am talking about, and mercury is not listed on the ingredients, in fact, the ingredients are not even listed on the vaccine package!
I tried your Epsom Salts baking soda bath, and yes, it did put me to sleep soon after I got out of the tub. Good evidence that our skin is porous, eh?
Has your daughter with aspergers got her fillings out and/or gone through the detox program yet?
My holistic dentist gave me a book on mercury fillings and also the name of a naturopath that specializes in dealing with mercury detox victims. I saw a message here where someone said they used DMPS or DMSA and had NO detox symptoms. I will investigate that more with this naturopath and try to put as many ease of detox protocols in place prior to me getting this done.
I am a brave beast on the tennis court and on horses; but put me on an airplane or with needles or pain and I am the biggest baby!

This is a reply to # 36,983I see this was posted 10 years ago. Nevertheless mercury poisoning was before and is now. I had an Amalgam filling done 2 months ago, and since then I have flu like symptoms on an off. It is quite tiring. I didn't know at that time how bad Amalgam filling can be, but I now am determined to remove it. I totally think that your symptoms were related to mercury and not a ordinary flu.
