Had you had a
colonic before this one? What you describe sounds like old mucoid plaques with some colon debris. It sounds like your
colonic did not completely clean the bowel. Your symptoms after the
coffee enema is typical when the bowel is not completely clean.
I would recommend that you take a series of clear
water enemas until there is no more residue in the evacuated contents. I would recommend you use 9 drops of peppermint oil to each 2-3
quarts of water. This helps with evacuation by stimualting perstalsis. If you continue to have colon residue after the 3rd enema then use Dr. Bonner's peppermint pure castile soap in the next enema followed with a clear water enema.
I have found that
colonics do not always clean the colon completely out. Sometimes you need to use a high enema to get the water to the ascending colon.
When the colon is completely clean then us a coffee retention enema (15-20 minutes). You will find this enema to be soothing to the bowel. Coffee has a slightly anesthetic effect so you should not experience any discomfort at all, but the bowel must be absolutely clean.
There are a lot of implants that are helpful in restoring the bowel to its normal function.
In my 20 years of treating IBS I have had great success in controlling it with periodic enemas and various retention enemas and implants.
Hope you have success with your colon. Will be anxious to hear of your treatments and success.
