You know here's something that Nancy said tonight that lots of pro-choice people say -- which I find quite humorous:

"You people keep using the term "pro-abortion". The term is actually "pro-choice" -very different terms with very different meanings. The term pro-abortion does not appear to describe anyone i've seen on this board. Most of the people I know are pro-choice - and I can say not one is 'pro-abortion'."

YET, at the same time they use the other side of the arguement, which is that by aborting babies you are saving them from a life of misery, poverty, and abuse. THIS point of view is actually used EXTENSIVELY on this board, which to me is a staunch PRO-DEATH stance. There is no way around it....you people are absolutely talking out of both sides of your mouths to try and sugar-coat the ugly face of death that you so joyfully promote -- but ARE TOO EMBARRASED TO ADMIT! LOL
So WHICH IS IT, GOOFBALLS? You can't be BOTH...so quit lying to yourselves and everyone else! It makes you look like A bunch of hypocrites who will say ANYTHING to win an arguement.

You know I look at them when I am having a really bad day and life seems to just brighten up. I know you have to know what I am talking about. We call them our little miracle babies because they have brought so much joy into all of our lives.

We are not joyful about abortion. I think we've told you that about a million times. We are cautious about the loss of our freedom to make a choice.

This is a reply to # 707,705Everyone here has already called me a killer and will continue to do so, though I've never had an abortion or killed a person. I have killed a few bugs regretably so you can call me a killer. Maybe you have too so I'll call you Killer too.
I don't call it a child becasue I call it what it is. And i have no problem calling it a parasite becasue that's what it is. Something that lives off something else. A child can live outside a womb. A zygote, fetus, blob, parasite, bunch of cells can't.

This is a reply to # 707,729First off Not partial birt abortion but dilation & extraction. Partial birt was the term made up by the pro-life side. I stick with the medical terms hence fetus and zygote, not child.
Anyway:
Of the procedures performed the vast majority is done to protect the mother’s life and if the fetus is dead, if the fetus suffers from anencephaly, meaning that while it would carry to term, it would not have developed most of its brain, or if the fetus developed a severe case of hydrocephalus, a swelling of the skull, all of which also put the mother into danger.
A bill which would prevent D&X would leave the decision making to the legislature, allowing bureaucratic conservative men dictate what a woman will do with her body in all occasions no matter the doctors’ professional opinions or patients’ will. Once any restrictions are places, it is impossible to stop the reach of the limit. If some pro-choicers still want to ban this type of abortion maybe they should consider switching sides or creating a new group.
In short yes, I support D&X. It's not used nearly as much as the pro-life side makes it out to be, less than 2% of all abortions.
