Thanks for the pineapple recipe Rygar!
I was using Optimum Nutrition Whey Protein a few years back, had an awesome chocolate flavor, but it has the Acesulfame-K in it and I ended up throwing it out after I read some of things that stuff does. Also, I will not consume anything with
Aspartame in it either. No sweet-n-low, Equal or anything else like that. Bad on liver, kidneys, stomach, and get headaches - ouchy!
Today for lunch I made an awesome chocolate flavored shake(surprised myself how good it was!) made by Healthy-n-Fit. I always buy the Ultimate Nutrition Whey Protein but since Vitamin Shoppe was out of it I went for the Healthy-n-Fit brand as alternative until they re-stock the other one. I used vanilla almond milk, 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder (45 grams), and then added 2 teaspoons of organic cocoa powder, 2 teaspoons of stevia, and several ice cubes. No after-taste... it was dee-lish!! I wanted to make another one but was eating 2 sweet potatoes with it and didnt want to over due it. The container says no artificial sweeteners and you could also add it to oatmeal, pancakes, and muffins.
The Ultimate Nutrition Whey Protein powder is not that expensive so a good thing if on a budget. It has no flavor and extremely bland but I usually will add a banana and now will put cocoa and stevia in it when I buy my next container. Oh yeah - I dont know about you but I also stopped using creatine and glutamine powder. Passed a
kidney stone last year which I attribute to the creatine and glutamine.
Thanks!
