Hi all!
I'm starting a 10 day vegitable juice detox and "weight loss jump start" to clean out my system a bit before I start a regular diet program.
I have a vita-mix to juice together organic kale, half an lemon juiced, an apple or pear, and a couple tablespoons of organic spirulina. This would be the main drink, along with teas and water. This mixture and detox will help break Sugar addiction and rebalance your taste buds, along with the great cleansing effects.
Anyone want to join? Looking for a partner to go at it with ;)

i am starting too tomorrow...hopefully ;)...and hope to go for 30 days and i am not sur yet what to do ,which juices i mean...i was thinking of doing a grapefruit,lemon, orange, pineapple juice in the am and later in the afternoon have a green juice...i was wondering about adding some spirulina in a juice fast..do you have any info that it helps detox?..for some reason i believe protein blocks the detox but i might be wrong....
your sounds good...am not sure what is kale, i will have a look in the dictionnary...(am not an english speaking native)
anyway, id be happy to be your buddie :)))

This is a reply to # 777,236hi marrionette! ok, cool. I'm so glad your on board. can you tell me a bit about why you are doing this (maybe a bit of a background?). only curious because i think it might help us support each other.
about me- i've done fasts and cleanses (lemonade) before, and i'm having a bit of a Sugar addiction lately. um, i'm 32y/o, female, born and raised in California (San Francisco, San Jose, LA). I need to lose about 49 pounds (wow, I know). It's the most I've ever weighed and I'm determined to get this extra weight off ASAP. But also, I'd like to clear the fog.
now you have me contemplating a longer fast. have you ever gone the full 30 days?
what i've read about spirulina is that it helps suppress appetite. also contains many vitamins, minerals and amino acids. http://www.spirulina.com/SPBSpirulina.html
so, you think the protien would be counter-active?

so here i am, french, 34 years old..since few days....and i did put on 20 kgs in...something like 1 year and a half...i know too.............but but but, i feel ready to let go of this weight protection i did put on ;)...ready as well cause i am going back to australia meet again a man i love dearly, this is in 3 months...so the plan is to get back in shape during these 3 months.
i used to do lots of sports(running, swimming, bycicle, surfing)...but since few months, a year or so, i do nothing at all!!!
i miss my body, the happy sensations to feel alive,the energy that was in my cells that i lost....but here too, i am ready to get back into loife with joy and strength :)))
being present and opened again :)))))

i have tried the mc by the past...not my favorite though,,,i do prefer fruits or the mystical water only one....i have done 2 21 days water fasts, which was the longer, am very attracted to the 30 days !!!!!!!!
so lets go?!
so we need to start...now?!....to be finished by xmas...
i am now doing yoga almost every day...will start every day with the fast...and walking and i will start again running when i will be lighter, in january i believe...
here i am :)))
so about the spirulina, maybe the first...3/5 days i will put some but will stop after to boost the detox(still following what i , for some reasons...believe about the protein and the detox ;)

Marion, thanks for responding. This was exactly what I needed to hear. We have much in common. I am looking to lose a certain amount of weight in the next 3 months as well. I have a Nutritional Healing book (it's huge!) and I'm following this 10 day fast. It recommends a 10 day fruit and veggie fast 2x year. The green drinks will keep my metabolism going. It also recommended using the spirulina. I would be happy to forward the pages if you're interested. After the 10 days I'm going to do a whole foods diet until I reach my goal. And yes- yoga everyday! I think thats key. Water is too tough because you release so many toxins its difficult to manage. Also you slow your metabolism down so much that you gain the weight back when you get off the fast. Are you really concidering 30 days and water??? Maybe we could meet half way ;)
I too am meeting up with an old love in 3 months (so weird) but more than that I'm starting a second phase in my life, leaving good money to pursue happiness. Need to get the butt back into fighting shape ;)
I totally hear you about feeling your body. You will do it. Once you get the momentum going you'll get back into the swing. I'm very active as well. I'll probably do yoga during the fast, then resume cardio and yoga on a regular diet. I also have a sauna at my gym which will be great to get the toxins out. What is 20kgs? I'm looking to loose 49 pounds. WOW, so much.. how did it happen.
Ok lady! here we go! How aften should we check in? once a day?

11/23- Raw Fruits and Veggies
11/24- Green juice, Herbal Tea and Water Fast. (haven't decided about other juices)

that´s fantastic!
sounds all great and yep, funny how similar situations we are now facing ...;)
so you convinced me, and i believed it in a part of me, fruits and veggies juices will be added in my fast :)
and i will have some spirulina as well, well, maybe not the whole 30 days but the first days, so that the fast wont be so hard to get into and the first days wont be giving me so many detox symptoms!
great to have you to walk along this incredible path with!!!

yep, i do check in on curezone dayly, i will, might be some exceptions, apart from them i will!
a friend of mine is inviting me to a restaurant tomorrow, it will be nice to share this moment with her and that will be...my last solid meal for a little while..the while necesary to get my body back on healthy tracks, those i have know and ridden on for ...32 years with joy and strength...faith as well!

yooogaaaaaa too is fantastic tools and fantastic to feel the breathing and the energy we can regenerate in ourselves by movements and just the breath!

i could easily loose 22, as after i will put on back some more 2 or 3 kgs!
great...but yes,as you say...how did we not stop before getting there???...
well, we can see it in the way that this will be something important we will go through in our lives, this weight to loose, that will be something that will teach us lots!!!
i am sure that you too learned a lot while putting on so much...
we are ready to let go of it now, right?!!!!!
