I don't know how slowly you're willing to wean yourself off, or if
it's just that you'd like to have a distraction while coming off this drug for good.
But when i was getting off klonopin, years ago, I got really anxious. Because I knew how bad it got one day when i forgot to take it in the morning and had classes and then a job to go to before i could get back to my *stash*.
Anyways, a friend of mine suggested i try what he did, that worked for him.
Use a razor blade and shave a tiny amount off the tablet each day. Discarding the small portion. It may take a month or more, before you've gotten to 1/2 the dosage, but you don't feel it, and it works. - If you have that kind of time.
If you shave 1/50th off your mg.s each day, in 2 months, you can be off.
Take even longer, if you need to. Four months, even.
You might try replacing the drug with something enjoyable to yourself.
I like running or hiking. But it could be anything, that you have a passion for...
