Today I have been very tired. I had an early exam this morning and I didn't sleep hardly at all the night before.... yet, surprisingly, my mind was very clear and I was able to tap into what I had previously read for my exam. This is usually a very difficult task for me. I have been using Raw Agave Nectar in my lemonades in place of the Maple Syrup and it has been working well for me. I find the nectar comforting and it adds a pleasant taste to the lemonade. I do not have diabetes; however, due to some other pre-existing health conditions and a family history of diabetes, I am at extremely high risk for it.
Usually I am an avid exerciser. i work out 5+ times a week. I have been taking it easy. I have a work out class later tonight and my grade is dependent upon my performance in that class, so I am hoping the tiredness from this cleanse does not adversely affect my performance. I have been working out about every other day on this cleanse and that has been working out pretty well for me. I have decreased the intensity of my work-outs by about 1/2 and I also work out for shorter periods of time.
I just read this post in the
Master-Cleanse archives about the danger of low salt intake with increased water consumption and how a woman discovered that if she added a little salt into her lemonade, she felt much better through the cleanse and was able to have eliminations. i am not having any solid eliminations and am very exhausted thought the day, so i though an increase in salt might help. I am going to attempt this, maybe add 1/4 a tsp or so daily and see how that works out.
Another thing is that I only add 1 tbsp of agave per 10
oz of water to my lemonade because otherwise i find it is too sweet. Because of this, if my energy level is at a level where it is too difficult for me to function properly, I'll have a spoonful of agave in between lemonades. I don't imagine that this hinders the effects of the cleanse, but if it does, could you let me know :)?
I know there were a lot of people who were going to start their cleanses on Friday, how are you all doing, are you hanging in there? I love to read posts by fellow cleansers, it's great to know that we are all taking steps to better our health and our lives. God bless!
