I have had a strange redish pink spot on my left breast about the size of a pencil eraser. I have a lot of veins on my breasts from bluish ones to pinish ones but this one is different because its more prominent and it does look like there are tiny veins inside of it. I have seen a couple doctors and they have no idea what this is. Could this be breast cancer. I have had it for 4 years and its never gone away, some times its less pigmented than others. My son is breastfeeding at 18 months and I have never had any problems in that area, but I had the spot long before breastfeeding ever started. What shall I do? I have no answers. Could this be breast cancer? Who do I talk to about this. Why doesn't anyone know anything? This is soo strange? Any help would be very much appreciated.

This is a reply to # 883,649Sarah...First of all, I'm so sorry you're so worried about this blemish. If you've
had it 4 years and seen 2 doctors, I think you can rest assured it's nothing. As
we age...women, anyway...our hormones fluctuate...and all kinds of weird things
happen.
You may possibly be able to put castor oil on the blemish and get rid of it within
a couple of weeks. I've personally seen castor oil do some remarkable things. But
if you're still breastfeeding...you'd have to be very careful about that. You
wouldn't want the baby getting the castor oil. :-/
If it has given you no problem...and you've seen 2 doctors already, I think I'd try
to quit worrying about it. And if you can't do that...see a dermatologist if one
of those doctors wasn't a dermatologist.
I have a red blemish also...and mine looks like a blood blister about the size of
a BB...I don't know what it is...but it gives me no problem...doesn't look anything
like the pictures we see of skin cancer...so I don't give it much thought. I've had it for years.
I'm sure it's probably nothing...just a 'blemish'...for no logical reason. Try, if
you can...not to worry about it. And if you can't do that...make an appointment
with a dermatologist...they'll know for sure.

MoreThis is a reply to # 883,658thank you for your reply to my post. I will try not to worry about this. It looks like tiny veins filled with blood under the skin. Its very strange. I am pregnant again and it seems more prominent now and I notice a couple of new ones. I wish I at least knew what it was. Well I think I will see a dermatologist once we get our new insurance just to find out what it is or if there is anything that can be done about it. I have just read some stuff on line about inflammatory Breast Cancer and I get worried. I am 27 and just starting my family. I am also almost 5 weeks pregnant and I have no pregnancy symptoms. Do you know why this might be? I had slight nausea and fatigue with my first son around this time but nothing so far with this pregnancy. Should I be worried about that? I heard from someone that the stronger the pregnancy the stronger the symptoms. I also heard that if I am having a girl I would be very sick. What do you think of this? I would like your input.

as old wives tales. Our first 2 sons were close together like that...I was
extremely nauseous with our first...and just breezed through the next 2. So
it's hard to say. It does NOT mean anything is wrong.
Try to relax and enjoy your babies...they will grow up before you know it...to
drive cars...and do all kinds of other things that will quickly turn your hair
gray. Savor the moment...these are priceless times for you! :-) kathryn

This is a reply to # 883,767Thank you! That is soo good to know. I love being a mother and I want this pregnancy to go well. When this baby is born my son will be 2 years and 4 months. My husband and were thinking of taking a break for few years to really focus on the two kids and then have two more later. We are not in a rush to stop having kids and we want kids in the house as long as possible. Some people think we are crazy but we like it this way and we want to savor the moment. Thank you again for your advice.

This is a reply to # 883,649It is petechaie. Google the word and you will get lots of info. I have had three on each breast for years. Who knows what caused it, and they are not dangerous in themselves, but it is good to have the info on the various causes.
