Charly
I believe this is a symptom of a hormone imbalance.
As I started getting older, I started seeing an occasional dark hair on my chin.
About 3 1/2 years ago became interested in alternative health. I realized that my hormones were out of balance.
It may be due in part to my tyroid not functioning correctly ... I live where there is floride and clorine added to the water, which is believed to be damaging to the thyroid. Now, I drink and shower using filtered water. I take a homopathic supplement and powered kelp to help this. On tests from my doctor, I come out fine, but I've read those tests are based on the curve of how most people are.
Sometimes people become estrogen dominent as they get older.... and in order to balance this out we need progesterone.
When I use a progesterone cream made from wild yam called Emerita I don't get black hairs on my chin!
You can read about this at
http://www.emerita.com
I don't like to be specific about products, but I've heard that the wild yam has to be processed a certain way to help, and if it isn't, it won't do what it's supposed to do.
I have friends that have a progesterone cream made for them in a local pharmacy... they say it works well for them.
It's easy to use - you just rub about a 1/4 teaspoon in to a fatty area of yoour body and it is absorbed into the system -
It really works for me!! When I forget to use it my body reminds me and a black hair appears! I pluck it out and start using the cream again!!
If you have a serious problem, you may need more progesterone than Emerita has in it.... maybe you could have some made up for you.
