First week update

Hello everybody,
This forum has been a lot of help to me. So I thought I will contribute by writing about my experiences.
I have been pulling for 1 week now. I started doing it hoping to cure my acne...my face is pretty bad with Acne and scars... hope it works.
Oil used: Coconut oil
Swished for 20 mins. in the morning on an empty stomach and brushed after swishing.
Day1: Lot of thick white stuff on my tongue. Face was extra oily for the rest of
the day.
Day2: Gums started bleeding. My mouth felt fresher. I was not able to sleep properly
although I am a good sleeper usually. Had a lot of disturbing dreams.
Day3: Bleeding in the gum decreased. White stuff on my tongue decreased quite a lot.
I was very very tired the whole day and depressed. Drems continue.
Day4: Lots of small bumps all over my face. It wasnt the usual tye of Acne I get.
These were small, more like allergy... I was still feeling very tired. My
eyes were burning and felt feverish throughout the day.
Day5: I had running nose. Not so tired. Face still had breakouts. Depression had
decreased.
Day6: I felt energetic throughout the day. Got up sooner than before (almost half
an hour earlier). The oil did not change in color or consistency even after
swishing for 30 mins (???). Gums bled quite a lot. Face oiliness decreased
about 60%. Dreams still continue and unable to sleep properly but not tired
when get up.
Day7: Felt energetic. Got up earlier. Still no change in oil consistency and color
(wonder why!!!). Face still have breakouts..not cleared up much.
Thats my update guys. I love oil pulling so far. My mouth feels fresh all the time and I feel much more energetic. But I wonder why I keep getting disturbig dreams everyday(it was not so before...I rarely had dreams..) and why the oil hasnt changed in consistency for the past two days.
Will love to hear your thoughts on this.

Hello and welcome. Thanks for posting.
Quite frankly, I think this is the coconut oil. It never ceases to amaze me the power or this oil. Most of the time you hear about strong detoxes on the OP forum, there is CO involved. Some of the other heavy hitting oils, like Flax and Hemp can also have some strong reactions for some people.
It would be interesting to me to see what would happen if you changed to another oil. But it definitely sounds like the CO is doing something, so perhaps you should stick this out to see what happens.
Either way, its quite a ride for you!

MoreThis is a reply to # 948,085I've been oil pulling two times a day for almost a week, and the best of it has been my sinus headaches/migraines have almost dissappeared. My gums bled a little bit as well and i did get a bit of a break out too.
still clearing up. I haven't gotten the energy thing yet, actually i'm feeling quite sluggish on day 5-6, i'm hoping that will clear out though. I'm thinking i'm still detoxing and that is the culprit.

Its time for the second week update. Thanks for the encouragement Molly. Im not really sure about the energy level fornickels... sometimes i feel energetic and sometimes i dont...but im definnitely not tired as I was during the first few days.
Heres the update.
Day 8: Had a terrible headache which vanished the next day. Not sure if this is
due to oil pulling. my face hasnt cleared yet but the Acne i get are
dissapearing fast. Havent felt sleepy at noon (which i usually do)
for the past few days.
Days 9,10,11, 12,13 and 14:
They have all been pretty much the same. the detoxing effects seems to have ceased. I can see no more effects except the occasional bleeding of gums and the bumps on my face. The sinus seems to be struggling to clear as I can feel it but just couldnt spit it out. It hasnt loosened enough as yet. My teeth have always been healthy and white. so I dont see much of a diff. I still have morning breaths.
My face hasnt cleared up yet. that is it doe not have much of Acne but it has lots and lots of small bumps..almost invisible except when you see very closely. Because of this my face is very rough and is not bright. Hoping this is only the detox effect.
Anyways Im still holding on to OP and hope everything improves.
