I've been struggling with what appears to be a systemic yeast infection for about 8 years+ right now. Aside from severe brain fog/joint and muscle pain/chronic fatigue, I have been dealing with pretty bad jock itch/burning when urinating and several patches on my back that my doctor says are yeast for several months that don't appear to go away no matter what I take. I've been managing to survive on a diet of strictly cooked non-starch veggies and leafy greens along with chicken and beef. I've been taking anti-microbials with NAC and digestive enzymes for biofilm such as oil of oregano/garclic/cocnut oil/grapefruit seed extract/thyme/black walnut to help try and improve symptoms, but they start to become ineffective after several weeks of use. I've been trying to rotate them for the past 7-8 years, but I find coconut oil/garlic don't do much of anything anymore no matter how long I take a break from them.
Only 3 tests I've had that showed something was off was : A complement C3 that said I was a little low, to which the doctor said it "could potentially be a spurious finding" as the result was
0.87. Normal reference being 0.90-1.80 g/L
A white blood cell count saying my neutrophils are low
Just recently, an IGG/IGA/IGM blood test for candida. The measurement for the candida was in "MONAs". Reference being anything 100 and lower was normal, anything over 100 was abnromal. My IGG was 215/ IGA was 115/ IGM was 64.
My Doctor prescribed Fluconazole at first 1 pill 1x/week for 3 weeks. After about 2 weeks I started getting upper right abdominal pain and some pale stools. When that didn't resolve anything he gave me lamasil to take 1x/day for 3 months. Well I just took my first pill yesterday and started getting massive discomfort on my upper right again (even though I take a liver support complex to aid with protecting my liver). So it's clear this stuff is working my liver pretty vigorously. I know that I can't keep using this stuff because if I do, it's going to destroy my organs. The problem is, out of all the stuff I've tried, it's the only stuff that seems to have a substantial enough effect to improve my symptoms.
I've gone through a functional medicine naturopath, a naturopath and a MD/ND that have all struggled to help me get on top of this. Does anyone know of a medical professional that helped them overcome something so chronic as this? I feel such utter despair and hopelessness as I constantly try to get my debilitating symptoms under control.
I've read about Thorne making a product called SF722 which is supposed to be 6x more effective than caprylic acid. Has anyone had any experience with this? My organs seem to be far too sensitive to rely on medical prescriptions, but anything naturally I've tried so far hasn't been strong enough. I don't know what to do anymore. -

Jock Itch Turned Out to be Staph Infection
Hello everybody,
Hopefully this helps some people. I thought I was plagued with a bad jock itch infection that would not go away no matter what I did. Trip to the doctor, ointments, creams, etc. I tried varying medicines for months and nothing worked. I went back to doctor and requested that I get a culture taken of the area. They swabbed the skin and told me a few days later that it was a STAPH INFECTION, not jock itch. The doctor initially diagnosed me with a fungal infection (jock itch), so we were trying to treat a fungus, not a bacteria (staph). They put me on an oral and erythromicin wash and it SEEMED like it went away after a week. A few days later, it was back and worse than ever.
So, now that I knew I was treating staph and not jock itch, I researched endlessly to see what others do. Other people also said Antibiotics did nothing for them and some have been on heavy doses and multiple rounds. I am usually the last person to try a home remedy over getting medicine, but reading the endless stories about how no Antibiotics worked, I took what the most people said and am trying that and it seems like it is working. Keep in mind, I've only been doing it for about 3 days but it is definitely going away.
1) Hibiclens Skin Wash. You can get it at any Walmart or drug store. I use it in the shower. Work up a good lather and let it set for a few minutes before washing.
2) Coconut oil. Sooooo many people kept pointing out coconut oil. It is a powerhouse against bacteria while simultaneously soothing and healing the skin. Extra-Virgin coconut oil. Just warm some up in the microwave for 20 seconds until it is mostly melted and then apply it to the area and surrounding area twice a day.
These are the two things I saw the most that people with a staph infection said worked for them. Also, tea tree oil was mentioned a lot. I am going to be very on point with doing these two things every day for at least 4 weeks. I can't take this infection anymore.
I hope this helps some people that think that they have jock itch and it's actually staph or another bacterial infection. Get a culture done and good luck! -

First get rid of candida, then repopulate acidophilus in your intestines, then cleanse your intestines and liver, do a gall bladder flush, include fresh fruits and vegetables, include salt in your diet. Use the Candida Zapper by BioElectric. That's what I used and , unlike supplements, is something I can use again and again for the rest of my life, each time candida tries to repopulate.

I identify with what you're describing. For me, it's candida due to too many Antibiotics over the years. I cannot tolerate any type of sugar, yeast-based breads, etc. Even fruits have to be closely monitored.
SO.......what I've been doing, lately, is taking 4 oz of water with 1 tablespoon of cider vinegar added.
Fermented stuff is supposed to be excellent: pickles, sauerkraut, kim-chee, etc...I am NOT into any of these things, but I'm going to have to give it a go, I think. Also......water, ONLY for me.
The downside to dealing with this is that it requires diligence - making our own meals, not purchasing processed foods, fresh fruits & vegetables, and watching the intake of cheese, as well.
There's some sort of imbalance, and I'm no expert on this matter, but I do know what's working (and, what isn't) for myself. Process of elimination and probably keeping a food diary to see what causes reactions and what won't.

Hi. I thought I would post to offer the cure for ringworm/jock itch I have found that works. About 5 months ago I developed a small red rash in my groin. I ignored it and it spread to my whole groin area, my genitals and legs. Literally red raw and exceptionally uncomfortable. It has gone now and the whole area has left scar tissue it was so bad. I used both creams and tablets from the doctor which didn't touch it. My cure came mainly from eating natural yogurt everyday. I recently acquired this tiny bumps on my hand. They are painless and they are spreading. They have a weird texture when you touch them similar to sand paper. They are also pretty touch to prick. I tried bleach and hydrogen which doesn't seem to work. My doctor currently put me on a jock itch treatment which requires using an essential oil as a soap subtitute and putting miconazole cream over the infected area. I don't do any treatment on my fingers. My doctor requires me to go on a diet (no wheat, sugar) and I have lost several pounds already while on the diet. I also take Conzace multivitamins and probiotics (expensive).
Anyone knows what this is? My doctor said that this is caused by fungus.
Please help, my cash reserve is so low that I cannot sustain the probiotics anymore -_-

i've had jock itch and athlete's foot in the past years of my life quite a few times. And 2 things were different than what I have today.
1. it was relatively easy to get rid of.
2. it had an odor like fermented mafungo cheese.
The crap I have now (about 2 weeks)
1. so far is impossible to get rid of
2. has no odor!
Is this because it's actually candida and not the 'regular' type of fungus? -

Most come with everything you need except a magnetic stirred, which I recommend
Use distilled water only. Clean the silver rods after each batch.
