ya'll have me freaked out! please help a newbie!

Ok, several days ago I had diareah & there was this long (well, about 4 inches or so) stringy lookin thing in the toilet. I'm a lil embarassed to be typing this- as my husband wanted to know why I was lookin in the toilet....just kinda looked down for some reason. Anyway, I got grossed out & thought "what the heck is that" but I thought it had broke apart when I flushed the toilet and figured it was nothing.
Well, a lil later on I go empty my son's potty in the toilet & see the greenish worm like thing in the toilet, kinda looked like a string bean, kinda like a worm without a head. It obviously wouldn't flush the 1st time. So now that it's clean, as the other *stuff* is gone, I get a q-tip & get it out. I tried to kinda mash it with the q-tip but it wouldn't split or anything. I just flushed it again as I had completely made myself so sick by this point! So here I am freaked & get online to look up something on worms in humans. I find this site & read.......ick ick ick! I was so disgusted! I honestly never knew you could have all these worms in your body!!! Now I'm feeling these suckers all inside me! Everytime I feel a twinge in my leg, or a rumble in my stomach I think "oh my gosh, there's a worm!" I really wanna puke! Does anyone else get grossed out like this? I'm constantly thinkin I'm feeling worms EVERYWHERE inside me!! Someone please tell me the BEST way to get rid of these things fast!!!!!!!! Also, If I have parasites, would my family have them as well?? I'm sorry for the long post! I'm just so grossed out & would be too embarassed to talk about this with anyone else!
