i once watched an amazing animal documentary done on a particular pride of lions... the lions were in direct conflict/competition with a neighboring pack of jackals... the lioness had young to care for... among the jackal was one large black jackal that seemed to be the leader... after the lioness had made a fresh kill the jackals made a bold attack to take it from them... and were so successful in doing so that the large jackal carried it a bit further and commenced to kill the defenseless lion cubs...

well... not shown that often... and always on the outskirts... were two huge male lions... the older one was of usual color... but the younger was much darker with a black mane...

the following day two males stalked that particular pack of jackals... and at the proper time the young lion ran straight into the pack of jackals... only it quickly became obvious that he had his mind set on the large black jackal... which he ran down... and with one crushing bite to the spine ended the jackal life...

now these are animals...
do they have free will...???
does karma exist for them...???
