Day 2-3 report. 18 y
Hungry but happy.
There are 10,000 restaurants in NYC. From the minute I leave my apartment, every step I take is a reminder of food. Steak here, sushi there, burger there, delicious just like home fried chicken there—my steps are filled with chewing memories. Even the street corners offer no relief—the shwarma guy, hot dog guy, and pretzel and nut guy are all there to tempt my hunger for solid food. I’m pretty bad right now. 29 year old with severe eczema embarks on a 30 day juice fast.
Today is Monday April 24, 2006, the first day of my planned 30 day Juice Fast. Hello. Let’s get some background out of the way. I’m a 29-year-old male living in NYC. I moved here in 2001, 6 months before the world changed forever. I’ve had eczema my entire life. Right now, I’ve got it on about 90% of my body, only the parts I can’t get to with my talons have been spared. My face hurts because it’s tight and dry. March 1, 2006, I put down all of the steriods, ointments, and cremes after 29 years of use, determined to find a more natural way to manage this disease.
