Purposeful

longing for rest...

Why is it that I'm sitting at my desk feeling like I've already worked a full day before 10 am & wishing I could go lay down? Because I got up @ 2:30 am this morning to do laundry. I took hangers with me; cause in addition to being totally underwhelmed in general about doing laundry, I am not into ironing either. I patted myself on the back as I left the laundry with my unwrinkled clothes on hangers. A plus is, at that hour in the morning, you don't have to share dryers. When I got done with that, I went to the gym even though time was ticking away. I took my latest workout book with me, called Hormonal Timing by BuffMother - Michelle Berger.I started doing her resistance workout with cardio intervals this morning. I had only enough time to go through the upper body workout once before I jumped on the treadmill, but I felt good about it. Following buffmother's book I used dumbells instead of weight machines. I've been wearing my hair in a braid for the last two weeks, because there never seems to be enough time to do anything remotely fancy with it anymore. Not for the first time, I have considered wearing curlers to the gym. Kinda funny, don't cha think? To some, that would be considered totally "innappropriate". I call it multi-tasking in the real world. It's early in the morning anyway, and at those hours, no one is there to socialize. I'm glad I accomplished my mission this morning, but boy do I feel like a zombie. I have to work overtime too this week. My strategy will be to eat all my meals while I'm at work, so that when I go home, I can just do some stretching, then go to bed...
