Patience...
...and gas...

When I woke up on Saturday, I knew I wanted something different to eat than my regular fare of late; & I really wanted to test the theory. Lyle Mcdonald's book suggests 2 free meals spaced out over each week. My first one was on Wednesday, the 2nd one was on Saturday. I had a Wendy's mini double cheeseburger, small fries, small frosty, and two McDonald's apple pies. It was such a beautiful day out, that after skating class, I considered eating outside; but I instead went home to eat. On the way, I stopped off at McDonald's again, to get a McChicken sandwich because I felt like I needed more carbs & protein. It was a good meal. I ate at about 2-3:30 pm because Moreless says "when trying to lose weight, one should eat their starchy carbs & proteins 4-6 hours before bed". That's also why if I plan on having soup, I stay within those perimeters. That was the only meal I had on Saturday, other than water before and after. This weekend in fact, I had no superfood or alk drink, and did only one detox bath on Saturday. Sunday I had two soup only meals - and water. The results of testing the theory has so far proved positive. I weighed in today; I'm down another 2.8 lbs. I’m doing well in the challenge so far. There are only four more weigh-ins to go…It’s exciting to think I might win.
I need to remember to bring my sneakers so I can get some walking in, or get up earlier and walk part of the way to work – just to maintain my lead. After almost 27lbs. lost so far, people are really noticing now and commenting. I think the best compliment I received was from a lady at work who told me I was her inspiration. I lit up inside then, and when ever I think about it. Whether people say so or not, what we do, or don’t do affects somebody else…
For the past two weeks, I haven’t felt like I was losing weight, but I guess it’s because I haven't noticed much difference in my hips, butt, stomach & thighs. with my bra being loose, I finally got a clue about where I am losing fat from, and today there appears to be more room in my clothes back there when I look in the mirror. I know my size medium & small shirts will be as happy to see me, as I will be to wear them again…
The last post I talked about gas. Well, even after drinking the Moreless formula, I had gas all weekend, all night. I was probably farting in my sleep. It wasn’t pretty…I woke up depressed about it. I went to the moreless ph balance forum to research the causes – apparently poor digestion. In my case, probably low stomach acid as well. I then followed Moreless’ suggestion to take more of the molasses and/or apple cider vinegar. I mixed up a healthy amount of each and drank it down before having my soup this afternoon. Although my stomach has been rumbling, I’ve been gas free so far. What a relief! Now I can eat without being afraid of noxious repercussions…
I was thinking of quitting my skating class, because I was frustrated, but after talking to another frustrated adult skater, and then the instructor, I’ve decided to apply the virtue of patience to the process, because I really want to learn how to skate well, more than I want to quit. I can see my self disco skating like the wind…Practice time is essential, so I hope to be able to purchase my own pair of skates next month. I’ve noticed when I relax, and turn on my inner d.j, I do much better and can execute moves with little to no thought at all than when I am tense.
