Ebb Tide
It's been a rather difficult month, but still doing art.

It seems that time has just disappeared and days are not there.
The clock seems to lie,
and suddenly what was nine in the morning is now six at night.
Everything seems strange;
even the birds are acting differently.
I am doing art like crazy.
Different types of art....strange art.
Then suddenly I can't seem to do any art
...my hands and my brain won't co-operate.
I can't think: muddled thoughts, and words don't come out right.
Strange dreams disturb my sleep,
and the past keeps forcing its way into my brain.
Recently I was inspired to take a class on becoming a medium.
It seemed urgent to take the class.
I applied for and received a partial scholarship.
Then we had a long series of blackouts:
no electricity...then a series of days of on/off ...on/off power
oops...no classes...
then it all seemed useless.
I was then reminded of the many, many years I have spent
in classes and training...for what?
I seemed driven to do the classes and training...
What did I do with the classes?
Maybe a futile attempt at getting clients
but not much happened and I went on to other things.
Yet...the training and classes were very valid.
Yes, there are a myriad of things I could have done with those classes...
for whatever reason I could not force myself to do any of them.
So what is with that?
So far this year I have said...and wanted to,
take a class for photography...which I did do ( got a scholarship);
however...have I gone out to take pictures? oops... no.
I also wanted to try to do different types of art...again...nope...
I decided I could not master the skills or get the costly materials.
I also wanted to get back into writing more...especially poetry...
hmmmm...have I done it? No.
Do I have excuses...sure! Lots!
Well, you see, I had a stroke;
it's hard to write.
I don't drive anymore so I can't go anywhere without someone to drive me...
it's hard to get out.
My body doesn't work well;
my brain doesn't work very well...
The list goes on and on.
Bah humbug!!!!!
