You may have read or heard it said "the mind is the builder and the mind is the way."  Here I use it to refer to seeking truth.

In my search I have found that truth is something that each of us discovers in our own way and from our own prospective. Truth evolves within us as we become more experienced or aware - it is added to our understanding as we mature. In our earthly experiences we apply our truths so that we may become what a human being should be: happy, prosperous, and content. Yet many of us never seem to quite find this fulfillment through out life, and we wonder why?

Mind is that part of us that connects us to God Almighty. This self awareness of mind was given at our creation as individual souls. That part of us we consider individual, unique and different from all others, leads us away from (or back to) the source from which we originated. Call that place the great beyond, or God Almighty, or the universal mind, or the cosmos, or the creative collective. It really doesn't matter. It encompasses all of the intuitive abilities. It is that creative force that is in harmony with God almighty. This mind power is bridged through deep meditation.

Meditation is a state of mind. It is a natural state to be in. It is an ability that separates the distractions, concerns and confusion of daily life and allows the mind to seek a truthful answer to a concern, the outcome of a decision, or the end result of an action to be taken. It is a real source of information that has your best interest at heart. But in attempting to enter states of meditation, some instruction is necessary. The conscious mind - which encompasses our personality or ego or rational mind - really doesn't like to release control. The soul mind makes up the "contemplative mind" and it is like a sleeping giant not wanting to be disturbed. It is a deep place of mind where dreams and visions come from. The go-between is the subconscious mind ­ a suggestible five-thumbed helper, that just does what its told to do.

Meditation takes time to develop. The repeated practice soothes the rational mind into allowing it to release control and to trust the intervention of the other minds. The infinite Contemplative mind stirs and becomes willing to work with the finite mind through the subconscious mind. This part of the mind learns to discern the veils of imagination and/or want and proceeds to seek directly and with clarity the truth.  - thoughts from the deep places of mind where dreams and visions come from.

As spiritual beings, through meditation we can achieve the highest level of existence a human being can achieve while in a physical form.

Douglas Interviewed for TV

On May 19, Douglas went to Toronto to be interviewed for a television series called "Shadow Hunter". The interview covered many topics pertaining to the paranormal ­ including clairvoyance, spiritual beings, remote viewing, clairsentience, discarnate entities, energy healing and altered states of consciousness. The producers explained that they intend to use Douglas's segments in various episodes. After the interview was over, Douglas demonstrated his spiritual healing ability on two members of the production crew. The cameraman was able to film both of them falling down under the energy, and reporting on the sensations they were experiencing. Douglas certainly made an impression!  The series will air this fall in Canada on CBC, Space Network, and Mystery Channel. The producers are currently seeking other broadcasters as well. Douglas has been busy developing a new series of Meditation CDs based on the Douglas James Cottrell Method of Meditation. In the first CD Douglas will explain everything you wanted to know about Meditation. Douglas also teaches you the proper breathing technique and gives you step-by-step instruction in his unique method of meditation. Health Products Formulated from Douglas's DTM Sessions

 For those who have had a health-oriented DTM session with Douglas, you will know that the remedies often include concoctions of natural products to treat various health conditions. Recently a company in the US has created a product called LymphoCare, based on instruction given in DTM consultation with Douglas. The sessions have recommended such a formulation for use in massage to assist the drainage of the lymphatic system, and improve circulation to remove toxins from the body. LymphoCare is a mixture of several healing oils described by the DTM sessions, including castor oil, olive oil, peanut oil, and others.
