Candida albicans Based on scientific publications and my own experience, I think that the main causes of Candida overgrowth are: - the use of antibiotics (especially when not accompanied by probiotics) - an overload of mercury - a lack of dietary fibers - a lack of exercise - a diet rich in refined sugars - a diet poor in fruits and vegetables.
