February 8, 2011

I woke up feeling a bit down. I couldn't tell how my wrist was feeling as I slept with it in the wrist guard, but it seemed to be feeling a bit better, so I decided to take it easy for the rest of the day by wearing it and seeing how I felt on Wednesday.

As the morning wore on, I was definitely feeling emotionally all over the place. I hadn't hear from Phil at all, and I was torn about texting him to even just say Hello. I know that the emotions I was feeling is all due to me being on my monthly cycle, but it still doesn't make it easier. I guess I was wondering if I was going to hear from him on my birthday and maybe if we were going to go do something, like he hinted a bit when he stopped back the office a couple weeks ago. I know that I shouldn't get my hopes up, but it is hard, when deep down inside my heart still loves him and I would so much enjoy spending a little bit of time with him on my birthday. I guess that would be a lovely present. Just get a little time with him.

I remembered to take out something for dinner tonight. I was kind of hesitant about taking out the cod, as I haven't had cod before, or if I didn't I don't remember it. One of the attorney's told me that breading it lightly with Italian bread crumbs are great after a little milk wash. So I am going to try it. I don't know if I will like it, as I don't like my fish breaded at all.

Work was okay, and my wrist hurt a little bit, so I took another tablet of Excedrin to help as well as sipped on Lemon Ginger tea.

When I got home, started to fix my dinner, among the mess I have in my kitchen. I definitely have to do dishes tomorrow if my wrist feels up to it. I think I found a good substitute for tortilla chips for my hummus. I grabbed a Wasa Multi grain cracker and dipped out some hummus for a light snack before dinner, while it was cooking. It was prefect. I was able to watch the portion of the cracker (just one) where it might be harder to watch that with the chips, if I wasn't careful. I will have to remember that little trick. LOL

Well, I ate my dinner, and it was okay, but I realized that I don't like even slightly breaded fish. It was a nice change, but I won't be lightly breading it again, as I was scrapping the little breading off and just eating the fish. LOL. I ate my steamed veggies like a good girl, and I enjoyed them too. After dinner, I made some Ginger tea, which I tried to grate some ginger into some water, so I could boil it, but ended up getting a squirt of ginger juice in my eye instead. So I just sliced up a couple pieces and boiled it and then seeped my Lemon Ginger tea bag in my mug. It smelled really good and tasted nice and spicy as I continued to watch my after dinner movie.

As I sat there, I thought about various things. Reading my Bible (which I did do later on), my father, Phil and how I am going to be a year older this Friday. I ended up curling up in my chair with a blanket, with Mekong laying on my legs and trying to stay away until 9:00 p.m. so that if Rhoda wanted to call, i would be awake. No one ever calls me at 9:00 p.m. when my minutes double, so at times it is hard. Actually no one really calls me much at all. It is all quite pathetic and sad on my part, but oh well, that is my life I guess.

Later on, when I was changing into my pajamas, I noticed that the muscles around waist were becoming more defined, and that my belly area is hollowing out. I can tell how the sides are being less and less fatty, and it is showing. Earlier in the day, I so wanted a hula hoop, as I just want to swing it around to get some exercise. LOL. I can't await to get one so I can play with it and give my oblique muscles some exercise. I know that I haven't been exercising a lot lately, as my wrist/arm is hurt, but I have been trying to remember to do some low impact toning exercises for my abdomen and legs. Sometimes I do them in the bedroom either at night before bed or in the morning, so I forget to document them, as they are just simple things that I have been doing. I have been dancing around the house at times, shaking my booty, and I CAN feel the muscles in my abdomen working. I love it Another thing I forgot to document is that when I was working at the office, I was walking around, and I realized how tight my muscles were in my abdomen, and how easy it was to keep them there now. It is LOVELY! I am getting there.

I went to my bedroom around 9:30 p.m. to wind down and read my Bible for a while. While I was reading my Bible, I swear my stomach was going to growl again as if I was hungry. I think I was a little bit hungry but I wasn't getting up to eat. I think that I tend to burn more calories when I am on my monthly cycle then I do normally, and I am sure that is why I was feeling so hungry, because I wasn't starving myself. I ended up reading One chapter in Genesis (Yes, I am a bit behind for February, but I am working on it!) and feeling really good that I finished it and laid there to think about it until I got too sleep to focus any longer.

I don't know what time it was when Mekong came running in and jumped on me, so she could sleep with me. All I know is that she curled up around my shoulder and hogged most of my pillow, until I stole it back from her. LOL
