I got up, but not as soon as I wanted to. I enjoy a bit of a lie-in with Mekong. I just knew that I had to get up, get dressed and get to Christy's house by Noon. I told her that the Pinwheel day at Children Services started at 11:00, but I would be there no later then 11:30 or Noon, if I was running late. So it was hard to get up and get moving. I drank a bit of water to settle myself, as I was feeling really hollow, but I still had a good bit of energy.
On my way to Christy's house, I saw blow up bouncy houses, a firetruck and ambulance at Children Services (since it is on the edge of town, and I pass it every day when I go into town). It looked like fun. I got to Christy's house, and Jesse and Christy were waiting for me. It was a bit nippy, as the wind was blowing, and it was threatening to rain a bit, so I was curious on how the pinwheel day would go. When we got, there we had to park a little bit away from the little festival. Jesse was excited because he saw the bouncy house and wanted to go on that.
It was quite a nice little fun-day festival. We finally found the registration table, for Christy to fill out a little registration slip to win a prize, as well as pick up a little bag full of goodies. They told us if we got too cold, when we could go inside, as there were things to do in there was well. Of course, we had to check out the bouncy house, outside. Jesse played on it several times. He went on to throw a football at a target and kick a soccer ball in a goal to get a small prize. We were outside until we got too cold to stay outside anymore. We went in and found it was crowded in there. There was three more bouncy house type of things in there was well. One was a jungle gym, once was a bouncy house and the other was some type of harness run set up where they had children run as far as they could, and a stretchy connected harness. It was really a lot of fun watching all the children playing and laughing. I saw some couples, bit ,mostly mothers with their children. I made me realize that if I had my own child, then I would be taking him or her to things like this, instead of trying to see if Christy would like to take her son to these things.
I realized how much I am missing, since I have no children of my own. I have no one to care for and share my love with. I know that I should probably be sharing this desire with the Lord, but it is hard to pray for it, since I can't even get a relationship to work or last, let alone thinking about having a child of my own. I guess I should just enjoy the time I have with Christy and her son. We didn't get out of there until around 3 p.m., so we moved our movie watching until 7:30, since they had two showings at the Palace (one at 2:00 p.m. and one at 7:30 p.m.) We went back to Christy's house, and relaxed, watched TV, and (they) ate, but not me. While they were eating, I spent my time reading my book and messing with my cell phone. I have been adding new events on my calendar so that way I have tons of new stuff to do during the week and on the weekend.
We got to the Palace a little bit late, but it was a good price. It was only $10.00 for two adults and one child. The movie, Gnomeo and Juliet, had started when we got there, as they don't have previews like most movie theaters. I told them I wouldn't going to buy them popcorn and snacks, but I did anyway, as it wasn't too expensive. The movie was great! I definitely have to buy that one, once it comes out on DVD. I loved it! It was so funny and it even cracked a couple jokes regarding Shakespeare. It was really a lovely re-enactment of the classic. Jesse was really good, which Christy was surprised, as he didn't fidget or act up in any way. It played a lot of Elton John music which I have always loved. I loved his score for Road to El Dorado. That is one of my favorite movies. I haven't watched it in ages, since I allowed K. borrow it (one of many) that I never got back. I really need to make a list of my own animated movies I still have and replace all the ones that I lost (approximately 25 of them) due to allowing K. to borrow them for his son. At the time, it seemed okay, since we were seeing each other, but he has never allowed me to get them back, since we both have moved on.
I hung out with Christy for a couple more hours before going home, because I had planned to go to church in the morning. I felt really good when going home, as my day was very productive and I felt content about that. I didn't think about the guy at all, which is always good. I know that thoughts of him will creep up, especially as time goes on, because I am so used to having him in my life, waking me up at 3:00 a.m. to text him how lonely is he, etc. Yes, it will be really hard.
I took a quick shower, brushed my teeth/tongue and crawled in to bed around 1:00 a.m. with Mekong trying to sleep on my belly, as I wondered how my Sunday was going to be like.
