Yes it happens despite the best efforts of mice and men.... We screw up... DUH..

The thing to get in our cotton picking minds is don't stay on the other side of stupid...  Things will happen, but you do not have to accept defeat, and gloom.... What you need to do is say what am i going to do about this....

As a electrical engineer, i have seen many DUH days.....  Some sneak up on you like a opossum at nite time picknic.... Those things are scary in the dark....  What i have learned to do is ask the basic questions.... [Some good stuff here]

What are we trying to do here???  You have to know this to go any farther....

Than i get past the DUH factor(s) by saying well how can we do this or that???

Usually, using common sense and some deductive logic,{this may be a new term to some of you} i come up with most of the possibilities...  From there it is a matter of choice(s) either based on cost, time, or just what you always wanted to do.... [ i try not to let the latter run wild too often]....  So it becomes a list of really what is available, when, and how much do you want to spend in both time and money.....

Pretty simple i think, but then i am a kiss principle man myself.... {keep it simple stupid}....    That is my over all theory in the nut shell.. Try it you will like it....

Any thing that cuts down the DUH factor(s) in your life will make you a happy camper....  Even if you never sleep outdoors....  By the way i am a member of the Order of the Arrow; which means we take wilderness survival serious...  {One of my sons and i plan to do part of the southern Appalachian Trail this fall... } Will keep you posted .... There is not much forgiveness on the trail... DUH days not allowed!!
