My question is simple. When doing coffee enemas, what side to lie on? I saw a few posts here that say to lie on left side. However, the Gerson therapy (where the CE was popularised) says to lie on your right side. So, which one is right?
I will try to help you with what I know, but realize that I do not have all the facts that some would have. I've been doing these coffee enemas for a bit now, and I DO use the stethoscope. When you are using the 'scope' its intended place to be listening to, is over the liver area and not the abdomin. (I agree though, that we need to know all of our bodies normal sounds). We need to be listening to the noises of the liver, as the CE will show us how the liver is cleansing or releasing bile. If it is loose or tight.
Uny has us taking the coffee enemas while lying on the left side. Even though they do increase peristalsis of the colon, the actual intent is the effect it will have on the liver. As I understand her past posting, it sorta turns the liver into a 'blood dialysis' machine. Also, it is good to note, that we are also encouraged to instill ONLY 2 cups of coffee solution at one given time, and try to hold or retain it for 10 to 15 minutes before expelling. After expelling the 2 cup brew, the process it repeated the second time. thus, known 'here' as, the back to back CE.
Taking any larger amount of coffee sol. would increase its chances of going 'higher' into the colon, possibly causing a 'coffee' buzz. If taken higher into the colon, it would cause a stimulatory effect, increasing blood pressure is likely, and then increasing urine output too.
I do not understand Gersons thought/theory on this, but I do realize that his people were instilling it while on their right side. And I know that many of them were terribly/seriously ill. Maybe others here on this forum would have more thoughts on this....
anyhow, I hope that this will help you in some small way....momo
