So my mom's been a cosmetologist for over 30 years. She spends long days standing on her feet which has resulted in knee surgeries, carpal tunnel, spine curvature, you name it. Well I'm trying to get her to stop working so her health doesn't decline further (she's 54 but seems more like 80). What I'm worried about most is her Osteoporosis and Arthritis in her spine. Certain days it's really painful for her. What can she do naturally (besides cortisone injections) to help relieve or even heal these issues? Has anyone successfully improved bone issues?

Osteoporosis might be related with a unbalance in minerals consumptions, calcium/magnesium amoung others and/or acidosis.
A diet with more raw veggies and less industrialized food is always good. Avoid sugar.

This is a reply to # 1,479,030Wow, thank you so much for the resources.. I'll definitely look into that. I had heard about D3 being good for bones but I wasn't sure why. I'm trying to get her to take fish oil. Doesn't cod liver oil contain D3?

Indeed Cod liver oil is a good source of vit A and vit D.
Vitamin D is an acid. Coincidentally? Calcium and Magnesium are alkaline.
Simplistically, CalMag + vit D = Acid/Alkaline Balance = pH Balance.

a raw food diet would solve joint dissorders,but most parents won't do that.grzbear on this forum was in a wheel chair looking at double knee and hip replacements,now he jogs.
its tough getting your mom to realize her diet and lifestyle are killing her.mine won't listen.
calcium is great but very hard to assimilate for most/some people.and can end up in your arteries-not good.
strontium is bone essential and easy to assim. many have solved osteo with this.
carpo tunnel and other muscle disorders are stress induced.any stress between those girls at the salon? i would say absolutely.

This is a reply to # 1,478,824It is funny that her doctors are using cortisone to treat her Arthritis . Cortisone causes Arthritis and osteoporosis and curvature of the spine . Cortisone may make people feel better temporarily but it worsens the underlying condition and they will feel worse than if they never took it . It may be too late for her if her joint has already been demolished by cortisone.
