posting as a caution/warning to anyone new to this website/forum, and also as a plea for any advise/help anyone might have to offer.
a little over a year ago i began to try to heal myself naturally, as allopathic drs. were zero help, from various ailments that have plagued me for many years, i am 31 yrs old now:
-migraines for 20+ years
-chronic fatigue for 7yrs
-neck/shoulder/back pain for 8yrs
-depression/anxiety for 12 yrs
-chronic pain/fibromyalgia-like
-i changed my diet to include more organic fruits and vegetables, less wheat/gluten containing foods, less dairy. added probiotics, green food supplments, kefir, various other vitamins. increased water intake. more fiber to my diet
-did bowel cleansing with p&b shakes (see Bowel Cleanse Forum ), occasional enemas
-did parasite cleanse
decided it was time for me to do a liver flush, as i was having good results and could see some change in my health and well-being from the above cleanses and life changes, for the first time around the end of august of 2003. followed the Hulda Clark method of liver flushing. flush was successful, released about 50-70 stones of varying size...biggest about 1/4in in diameter down to chaff. all seemed well and fine, until about 2 days later...
i developed acute abdomial pain around my naval and the left side of my abdomen, down to about my groin area. i thought nothing of it at first thinking it was just an after-effect of the flush that would clear up with time and a few enemas (thought was it was maybe some stuck stones in the colon or irritation from the epsom). wrong i was! the pain continued to worsen, as did constipation, bowel habits. and now it is a year later and i am in more pain than ever.
pain has me doubled over sometimes, is ever present, is crampy, sometimes causes a deep burning deep in my bowels, has severly crippled my quality of life (even worse than before with my other ailments, as they are still present (but a little improved) on top of this terrible abdominal pain), horrible bloat and fullness after i eat most of the time, has made my mood related problems much worse as the pain and feeling of 'being uncomfortable' causes me to be overly irritable/anxious. i have lost a ton of weight, and i was already skinny. basically, i have in a sense, given myself IBS by doing a liverflush.
i have never suffered from any GI problems (indigestion, constipation, pain, bloating, etc) until i did a liver flush. now i am plagued with these things to no end all day everyday.
i have tried numerous ways in the past year to help rid myself of this abdominal pain: colonics, probiotics, further bowel cleansing, energy healing, massage, various herbal supplements. i have even gone to the dr., where numerous tests (blood, barium, CT scans) and medication have been tried, but no help. dr. just says it is IBS, as they see nothing else wrong.
i still believe that one can heal oneself, but there is also that potential to harm oneself too. you never hear of people on these forums posting of bad results of liverflush, so who knows how often it actually happens. i wanted to post to let people know that it can and does happen. i guess i fell into the unlikely minority of those that did not find a wonderful life and health changing experience in flushing. after this horrible incident, i am afraid to ever attempt one again, since the first has crippled my health worse than before and i have been unable to correct or even make it moderatley improved in the past year. i am unable to work, and most days unable to do much of anything, mainly because of the severity of the abdominal pain more than my other health concerns.
many times i regret even finding this website (and learning of liverflush) because of where it has led my health, but it must have been for a reason, i have just yet to discover it.

While I wholeheartedly regret and empathize with your health problems, I find it impossible to believe that liverflushing was a causitive factor in the development of IBS.
Sorry, but stones getting released from the liver and travelling down the colon and out of the rectum doesn't "cause" IBS.

because i still belive in things discussed here. i still believe in natural healing, and know i will find help in it. and i only meant sometimes i feel regret, not that i totally regret it, b/c if i did i would not be back here. when something this life altering happens in a negative way, one if bound to feel some form of regret.
and for me it did cause IBS (or ibs like symptoms if you like). i still have all this pain and resulting symptoms and they did start within 2 days of liverflush. cause and effect. pure and simple deduction. as you can read in my posting, i never had any GI probs. until the flush, then they developed, starting with pain and escalating from there. there was nothing else in those 2 days following the flush that could cause the abdominal pain. i have even spoken to Andreas Moritz and he concerred that this type of pain and symptoms can result from liverflush, if stones get 'trapped' in the colon for some reason they can cause spasms that upset the peristalic action in the colon. you could post this question to him in his forum if you like. it does not happen often, but can happen. doctors only label it 'ibs' as of lack of knowing what is causing the symptoms.
flushes are not always perfect as you can read in the liver Flush FAQ . bad things can and do happen. does not mean you should not do them, but people should be informed of others experiences. that is what this website is for and about.

This is a reply to # 153,632MidlothianGirl is right. And, obviously there was more that needed to come out after the first flush and could have been accomplished with more flushes. One flush was not enough for me. After three flushes I feel better than ever. Had I stopped after the first one, I may not be able to say the same thing. I'm pretty new to this site and there are a lot of things that I don't know but I do know that if you have IBS you still need to cleanse your intestines and your liver. MoreThis is a reply to # 153,632your colonics would have removed any debris, chaff, stones, toxins....from your colon, and your problem would be resolved. That's what I don't understand about what you are saying.
I have NEVER heard of anyone getting IBS or an incurable disease from liver flushing.

i am only posting what happened to me. i did one thing and then a few days later something else happened. just because you have never heard of something happening does not mean that it is impossible. i only posted as an experience i had. nothing suspicious there. no hidden meaning or anything. i posted here last year after it happened. search under the user name ocron and you will find the posts where i was posting what happened and what i was experiencing.
if i had gotten the colonics within days of the the flush i would more than likely have been ok, but it was probably 2 months later before i was able to do so. colonics alone are not in themselves going to fix this problem.
like i said if you dont believe that these symptoms can arise from a liverflush ask Andreas Moritz in his forum and see if he will concur that it is possible.
yes this is a support forum, and you are not being supportive by telling me there is no way something can happen, when it did. i live with it everyday, and the pain and symptoms are real. if you cut your finger and 2 days later it is infected, then you can deduce that the it is infected because you cut it and it did not heal properly. you did something and there was an effect. that is all i am trying to say.
support and help means knowing all the facts. i am only posting a fact and not trying to knock or discredit flushing, as i will more than likely try again. even though i am a little afraid, b/c i know that it has and will help alot of people. i am not a skeptic. i believe what i read hear, and know people are healed through nature. people also need to be informed of things that can happen when they flush, both good and bad.
i came hear to report an experience and seek further help and support as i have done before. i dont appreciate being basically called a 'liar' for reporting something that happened to me. there are plenty of other posts here by what people have experienced after a flush, some + some -. that is what the liver Flush FAQ page consists of.- it happened to me, but colonics turn... johng

This is a reply to # 153,645You said you regretted finding Curezone. I'm only trying to understand why you are posting at the very site you regretted finding. You are indicating, even through your subject line that you feel that flushing ruined your life. As I stated in my first post to you, I regret that you have had even one day of ill health. However, you must understand that moderators and others who make Curezone run have to watch the nature of the posts in the Support Forums . This is just proper internet decorum.
I am also a health educator and researcher and am fully aware of what can happen with regard to flushing and the risks associated therein.
When I began a lot of bowel cleansing, I had severe, burning, pain in my colon that was so bad, I thought it was a serious gallbladder attack and almost had my husband take me to the emergency room. However, it was toxic fecal matter making it's way down my colon and I would feel fine after passing the gunk.
I have done 14 flushes and understand the issues involved. I write about alternative health and am becoming a certified nutritionist, so I am not ignorant of these issues.
Again.....I don't want to demean your experiences, but you should understand that you should watch your language if you want help. Moderators constantly have to be on the lookout for people who come to the forums to disrupt them.
I never insinuated that you are a liar, but you should understand that moderators and others who run this site have to a tough job to do. Again....to reiterate my understanding of your post......you specifically stated that you regretted finding Curezone, then asked for help. This should be a red flag to anyone. Not to mention, your subject line is rather dramatic as well; it sounds like you believe that liverflushing ruined your life and health.
I am truly sorry if I offended you, but you should try to see the other side of the coin. We have had many skeptics try and infiltrate the Support Forums , and we have to be careful. So try to understand that, and we can try and support you the best we know how.Advertisement

I think I explained that the CureZone Team are always on the lookout for skeptics and people who want to disrupt the forums. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes that most people have no clue about in terms of discussion and weeding out the people who only come to Curezone to disrupt and cause suspicion about alternative medicine. That is why I very specifically asked you why you were back; I HONESTLY wanted to know!!!
But anyway......have you tried Colosan or Oxypowder ? It sounds like you have a putrifying stone or something caught in some fecal matter or mucoid plaque. Those products could help you. It also sounds like you may want to try castor oil packs wherever there is pain. I swear by them.
I hope that you will reconsider doing more flushing when you get this present problem dealt with.

This is a reply to # 153,659i trust curezone and believe wholeheartedly in alternative medicine. anytime i see some product on the web claiming it can work to help with this health issue or that, i always come to curezone to check out what people have to say about it, if it works or fraud. i trust the opinions of people here, because they suffer with health and are always honest.
i can understand the filtering that must go on behind the scenes, but sometimes i like to see and read what skeptical people have to say, because sometimes they raise good points and spure me to do further research on my own to see what they are talking about. dont believe in just letting people cause trouble though ;(
i have not tried these products you mentioned, but will definitely check them out on the net and see about them. i said earlier that i had tried castor oil packs for awhile in the past, but not lately, but have been thinking about it again. i have the oil but need a new flannel cloth. can u use an old flannel shirt, or does it have to be that specific cloth you can get in health food store?

I think you can use old 100% cotton underwear for your castor oil packs. I use old unused nursing pads from 12 years ago. I got a great suggestion from Hanna about using Depends to keep the castor oil packs in place, and it works like a charm.
Oxypowder and Colosan both use oxygen to break down mucoid plaque and impacted matter in the colon. Both work good; I have used both and have had good results with both of them; however, Oxypowder is much more expensive.Advertisement

Something to consider.
Inorder for the colon to function efficiently it needs fiber. Enough fiber to keep the metabolism moving. Most people think fruits and vegetables contain plenty of fiber. Not enough to keep the bowels full enough to let the nerve endings at the anus know that we are full open up and release.

Look up Intestinal Sooth and Build, also Bowel Detox.
Also add try adding more fiber to the diet. Quina, rice, some sort of dencer foods. After eating regular meals for many years higher in density. Raw vegan diet lacks enough fiber for metabolic conduction.

This is a reply to # 153,645i wholeheartedly believe that you have new problems, and there is a strong possibility that what you've been doing is the cause of these problems. our bodies are much more complicated than anyone on this site understands, including me, Andres, everyone. it could be that by freeing yourself of one problem, others are now surfacing, and will likely continue to do so until you've overcome your major health issues.
it doesn't sound like you're going to get much experienced advice regarding your problems at this forum. perhaps you might forego any liver support discussions and turn to the bowel support discussions. you might find a different path to try there.
don't give up on finding answers to your problems. it sounds to me like you've accomplished a lot and have this one (albeit large) setback. keep trying! keep educating yourself.Advertisement

This is a reply to # 153,645You say you contacted Andreas Moritz, then he would have confirmed you should have had colonic irrigation just prior to and immediately following the day of the Liver Flush. In which case you did not follow the Liver Flush protocol and this MAY have been the problem. The Liver Flush is hard core and Andrea Moritz has written a whole book dedicated to it. He describes in detail when to do the flush and how to do the flush. If you did the thing half heartedly then you shouldn't condemn the Flush per se; the problem my friend is with you not following the instructions correctly and doing an incorrect procedure which is absolutely not recommended. I have carried out numerous Liver flushes over several years, on myself following exactly the rules given in his book. The flushes have been uneventful other than to remove thousands of liver/gallbladder stones. To anyone doing this flush you must read the detail and you must flush the colon following the flush; this is important and emphasised by Moritz. If you do not flush any stray stones they will cause problems; a post flush colonic is recommended.

Just scanned your 1st message.
I believe in Andreas Moritz , he seems to understand the body very well.
So he must be right.
But my question is. Did you tell him you used PB shakes, he finds them harsh, prefers colosan or Oxypowder .
Might not agree with all the supplements you are using.
He believes in eating the right food according to Ayurvedic medicine.
I had an e-mail conversation with Rick60, he did not have your problem, but tried the probiotics etc. and felt worse. Finally he cut most of the things out and started doing liverflushes, colemas, eating the Ayurvedic way.
He feels like a different person.
So I would think there is hope for you if you make a lifestyle change.

This is a reply to # 153,632I found doing daily enemas after flushing would relieve the colon of mucoid plaque, stones and general debris. Just try doing an enema and you will really feel the difference.

This is a reply to # 153,632If I would have stopped the first time I felt "discomfort" a day after the flush (I did not expect miracles in one or two flushes anyway)...I would not have been as healthy and better off today.
I can honestly say it took 5-6 flushes before I felt better. Was I just too darn congested or did stones become "trapped" I don't know.
Don't give up. The final outcome is worth it.
