I have been treating myself for Candida and as a result some of my symptoms are alleviated. However, I still have a problem with a stiffnes or numbness in the feeling of my neck and my Candida treatment hasn't really made a significant difference. Reading the messages on this board, I've found that a stiffness or numbness of the neck is not a typical symptom or maybe even a symptom of Candida so I'm wondering if it is indeed the cause. Stiff necks are common among meningitis sufferers but I've never had any of the other symptoms associated with meningitis such as fevers or headaches.
Also, I'm not sure the description of a "stiff neck" accurately describes my symptom. I can easily move my head but I feel a numbness on a part of my neck that seems to be the source of my brain fog, fatigue and joint pain.
Lastly, I am thinking of consulting a naturopath about my problems and wondered where I can find good recommendations for one. Would yelp.com be a good source?Advertisement

This is a reply to # 1,942,721I talked to a owner at a restaurant once who told us why he tried to ignore reviews. When Yelp first got big he was paying a lot of attention to it and tried to address all the complaints, but then two things happened that made him realize that it was ridiculous to pay attention to the reviews.
He got a negative review from a customer who's gf dumped him in the restaurant (even though IN THE REVIEW the guy said the food was good).
He got a negative review from a customer who wanted to eat his food in the bathroom and the restaurant wouldn't consider the bathroom a proper serving location. He even pulled out his phone and showed it to us. The guy wrote up, in his review on Yelp, that it was an "unfriendly" business that wouldn't serve him while he was taking a dump. Imagine that.
I'm not big into reviewing things on Yelp, but I'd probably have given it a good rating just for the laughs from talking to that guy.Advertisement

I read a description of how candida spreads through the body the other day and thought part of it may be relevant to you:
'When the immune system is weak, candida easily overruns the intestinal tract and the vagina, sinuses and surfaces of the tongue. It also can burrow deeper into various organs. A carpet-like mass will wrap around the spinal cord and the nerves and often accumulates at the base of the brain.' (Donna Gates, The Body Ecology Diet)If not this, it could be that your Candida has caused you to develop a fat intolerance, but the symptom of this (among many others) is pains in the neck and shoulders, which I'm not sure is what you're experiencing. If it were a fat intolerance, you could cut out all fats for a week and see how you feel, then introduce a small amount of organic coconut oil.
